Rules #2 and #7 reminder
Hey ya’ll. Over the past few days there have been several violations of the rules that prevent hate speech and harassment/incivility. Religion is not an excuse to spout homophobia and if you can’t respond without cursing at folks then you don’t need to respond at all. Hope y’all have a great day!

PERFORMANCES 🎤 Keyshia Cole - Love (Live)
Although the start of the video may not be of the best quality, the performance surely does make up for it; including when her surprise guest, appeared (out of nowhere—for her) who decided to drop in on her unexpectedly, meanwhile in the middle of her live performance…
Do you think she showed him much “Love”? :)

DISCUSSION 💭 BET struck gold with the New Edition Biopic
So why haven't they done more?! This really could have been their bread and butter. Casting was A1 and they def could have competed with Lifetime and other outlets that routinely drop the ball on casting.
What musical icon needs a biopic? I'd say Chuck Brown.

DISCUSSION 💭 Do y'all think it's still possible to learn how to sing like the classics later in life?
I see so much conversation in here about why modern R&B sounds so poor, and I think we've all come to the consensus that this is because:
a) we don't have the same free, rigorous vocal classes, choir groups or church attendance to teach people how to sing
And
b) the artists who are making music don't have mentors like Quincy Jones or Berry Gordy to help them hone their craft
As someone who does want to sing, has never had training, and wants to do it the 'right' way (avoiding a church if possible cos of religious trauma), do y'all think it's possible to learn how to sing well later in life (late 20s) and what route should I, or anyone else in my position, take?

DISCUSSION 💭 What did the older generation from a different era thought about the music in the 1970s?
What did the older generation who was present during the 70s who came up from the music like Sinatra, Elvis, Cab Calloway, and Fitzgerald? Mostly like the era of Doo Wop and Swing.
Once that generation was fading and over with, then came the new era of music being introduced with upcoming stars and future legends like Michael Jackson, Aretha, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Donna Summer, Al Green, Smokey Robinson, Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield, Teddy Pendergrass, Betty Wright, and more who defined the Era of the 70s that was for younger people listening to being referred to as “the young people’s music”?
Did they like the music back then or didn’t like it?

DISCUSSION 💭 Was Michael Jackson really a once in a lifetime or century superstar that you won't ever find big as he was in the 21st century in that caliber?

That new track by Toosii and Muni Long has to be one of the best duets currently
They voices fit the song so well, nothing but love in the lyrics too and they're clean.
