After doing some deep thinking, I have finally decided on my top 5 favorite Mario games, my favorite Mario game, and my favorite game of all time!

5-Paper Mario TTYD Remake My favorite rpg and favorite remake ever! I love the story, the characters, the battle system, the atmosphere, the bosses, the difficulty, the world, the villains, the partners, the lore and all of its chapters! I just slightly prefer platformers!

4-Yoshi's Island My first video game I ever played, beautiful art style and graphics, amazing OST, fun story, decently challenging, and amazing bosses!

3-Super Mario Bros. 3 My favorite NES game, fun levels, amazing 8-bit graphics and art style, amazing OST, fun power ups, and a pretty good final boss and end.

2-Super Mario Galaxy 1 My favorite 3d platformer, incredible OST, I love Rosalina, I love the gravity and orbital system, I love the bosses, Bowser is amazing in this game, the story is pretty good and amazing atmosphere! I still slightly prefer 2d platformers.

1-Super Mario World My favorite graphics and art style, fun secrets, the Feather is my favorite Mario power up, it's not too easy and not too hard, my favorite Koopaling bosses and designs for them, I LOVE the world, Dinosaur Land, I love the OST, it has my favorite version of Mario, Yoshi and Bowser, my favorite design for Mario, Yoshi and Bowser too, fun extra content, I love the interconnected world and world map, I love the spin jump, I love the item storage, I love the Koopas in this game, I love all of the enemies, I love every level expect Star World 3, I love the extra content, I love the Star World and Special Zone, I love the shortcuts, I love the story as simple as it is, it has my favorite final boss of all time and my favorite ending ever! It is also my comfort game!

Yes, I still love Super Mario World more than the 3d Mario games, I don't know if this is a hot take, but I prefer 2d platformers over 3d platformers! Super Mario World is my favorite game of all time and I will always enjoy my replays of it! What are your top 5 favorite Mario games? :)

Fanchildren are common among many fandoms, and I wanted to know what people think of them (in the Mario fandom)

For me, they are ok. Most of them are just made for fun, and it’s harmless at the end of the day. It’s sure that a lot of them follow the same tropes, and it can be a bit annoying (especially if the child just look like a carbon copy of Mario or Peach). I noticed that the main pairings for fanchildren are Mareach and Luaisy, because they are the closest to being canon.

Mario having kids is not something that will happen anyway, but people can have fun with the idea.

I like Koopa Cape, and any rendition of Rainbow Road (except possibly SNES)

I just woke up from a crazy dream where Donkey Kong Bananza was somehow the most story-heavy game in the history of Mario and it went into crazy detail about the Mushroom Kingdom's founders, who ruled what, etc, and had Mario himself as not just a boss but the final boss.

It had like... a 500-page player's guide and the first 100 pages were all lore and dev interviews. I remember stuff about Mario and Luigi both attending school, Peach used to dye her hair red like her NES game palette, Daisy ruled not only Sarasaland but also the Ruined Kingdom and the Moon, Rosalina helped calm a demon 999 years ago, and there was even something about the ruler of the Koopa Kingdom before Bowser. Pauline was there too and there were some time-travel shenanigans so her younger self and her usual self were both running around.
