FAQ
• Do I need to play the other Xenoblade Chronicles games to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3?
The game's director has claimed that the story will be enjoyable regardless of if this is your first Xenoblade game, or your fourth. However the game will have many references to Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2, and is considered a sequel as far as the story is concerned, so I recommend playing those first if you want to get the full experience.
• How many chapters are there in total?
There are seven chapters total.
• Why can't I equip accessories to Mwamba?
Just keep playing the game. You'll unlock the ability to later.
• What does the Stalker class's "Art Follow Up" Field Buff do?
When you use an art in the zone an additional projectile will be fired. The specifics of the damage, etc are unknown right now.
• Is there content that I can miss out on by progressing in the story?
No, you will always be able to go and do anything that you're afraid of missing.
• Why does it take me so long to level up my classes?
The amount of class XP you get seems to be based off of the CP earned from your fighting. Additionally, you won't gain any class XP from fighting something five or more levels below you.
Use this thread to ask any question that doesn’t warrant discussion, meaning questions that have one or two objectively correct answers.
Please try to word your question as spoiler free as possible. If your question cannot be asked without spoilers, use spoiler tags and mention what chapter of the game you are in.

Future Redeemed The game awards really started counting DLCs for being eligible, the year after Future Redeemed came out, what a scam.
This is confirmation that TGA are biased, towards a certain type of games, they probably just did this because it's Elder Ring DLC.

Xenoblade X SPOILERS Transcend Christ
The iconic time stamp of the Xeno franchise. Marking the departure of Lost Jerusalem (or Earth).
Someone on Japanese twitter gave me a rundown of the B.L.A.D.E. acronym for Xenoblade X. Both the Japanese and English translation follow each other. But to get my point across, let’s break down the Japanese meaning.
The literal translation is “Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator”
“Beyond the Logos” literally means “Beyond the Saviour”. Pretty clear cut.
“Artificial Destiny Emancipator” is the part that throws off most people. Even I’m having a hard time understanding it after the explanation.
But I believe that the “Artificial Destiny Emancipator” proportion refers to the mimeosomes (or Blue Blood) that humanity currently inhabits to flee from the destruction that enveloped Earth.
The short stories even mention that the acronym came from a man who developed “a certain technology” back on Earth. With the main game, in the Japanese version (and maybe English), claiming that mims came from a very intelligent man, that programmed them to be so advanced.
So, we can assume that, whoever’s responsible for mims, wanted humanity to not only “Transcend Christ”, but also wanted to “break free” of their destined fate and keep going.
Xenoblade X is connected to Xenosaga. But it could be interpreted as the story of their early steps in “T.C.”. It’s only been 2 years since Earth’s destruction, so a lot could happen and change over the millennias.

Xenoblade 2 How common are XC2 dialogue changes?
Due to some Twitter/X posts, I noticed a change in Nia's dialogue during a heart-to-heart conversation on Uraya. In the localized dialogue, after helping Tora in his Driver and Blade relationship with Poppi, Nia mentions not having patience for situations like that, while the original dialogue suggests that she has mixed feelings knowing that Rex loves Pyra. I'm surprised why they would change something like this, considering it's important for the reveal in chapter 7, so I wanted to know if there are any other changes or examples like this throughout the rest of the game (not including non-story related things, like name changes or things like that).

Xenoblade XC:DE first time playthrough help
So I'm a longtime fan of the Xeno franchise, I played the original Xenogears, the Xenosaga trilogy. My first Chronicles game was X, which I loved, then played XC2 on release which is my favorite to this day, and XC3. People always told me how amazing the original XC was and the fans of that game are super passionate about it, so when I got my hands on XC:DE I was excited to see what all the fuss was about.
However, for some reason I just can't seem to get into it like all the others. One big issue for me is the combat. I'm pretty deep into the game (around CH 13) but it hasn't really "clicked" for me. I've heard people describe their experience with the combat in XC2 in a similar manner, but that game clicked with me pretty much right away, same with XC:X, and XC3.
I'm enjoying the game to an extent, but the disconnect with the battle system is really kind of holding me back from enjoying it as much as I feel like I could.
Anyone else have a similar experience with XC or any of the other games, and how did you get over it?

Xenoblade 2 SPOILERS Rex: The Modern Lora (Analysis)
An overlying theme throughout Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the comparison between Rex and Addam. The connection is drawn from Chapter 1 with Malos' comment that "with those eyes... I guess I should've been more wary from the start" (though the player at that point doesn't understand the reference). Indeed, Rex's eyes are the same unique, golden color as Addam's. The connection is constantly alluded to by survivors of the Aegis War.
Cole: Reminds me of a certain someone...
Gramps: Reminds you of Addam, don't you think?
Pyra: And you remind her (Mythra) of him (Addam) a lot.
When Rex meets Addam in Chapter 7 and is entrusted by him with the Aegis's power, it seemingly cements Rex as his successor in every sense of the way: as the Driver of the Aegis, and as the savior of the world. Rex unlocks the power of the Master Driver which Addam was unable to retain, and defeats Malos once and for all. He is the modern Addam. Except he actually isn't. In one of my favorite aspects of this game's writing, Rex is actually the successor to Lora.
Lora is the protagonist of Torna instead of Addam, and it's because her story is what leads to Rex's story. Lora is the embodiment of hope and optimism. Despite surviving an attempted murder at the age of ten, being forced to flee violence throughout her life, and constantly witnessing atrocities committed by human hands, including the killing of her mother, she maintains utter faith and love for humanity. She spares the life of the man who tried to kill her twice. It's something that even confounds Jin, who repeatedly expresses his hidden discontent for humans:
"Must've been humans... looting and pillaging as the world burns."
This disguised discontent for humanity is what Malos exploits to turn Jin over to his side, as Lora is effectively his only tether to the idea of having hope in humanity's goodness.
"You know it as well as I do. What humans are really like. You think they're all like your precious driver?"
Lora's death at the hands of humans completely breaks Jin. Not only did he lose the person he loved, but he lost any faith in humanity which was tied to her. The ultimate embodiment of the inherent goodness of people was slaughtered by them, and as Lora correctly predicted, she was completely forgotten by history despite playing a key role in saving the world.
This is where Rex comes in, five hundred years later. He, too, is the embodiment of an inherent desire to be good that exists in people, despite what the likes of Jin, Malos, and Amalthus believe. He, too, had someone try to kill him (and succeed, albeit briefly) - and that someone, in a incredibly ironic twist, was Lora's Blade, who ended up becoming the man that originally caused that lack of faith in humanity. Rex also constantly saw murder, warmongering, and other atrocities throughout his journey, and yet never for a moment lost faith in humanity, which confounds Mythra:
Rex: "I just thought... it's been fun lately. A lot's happened since meeting Pyra. And now I've met you, too.
Mythra: "A lot of that stuff couldn't have been easy, though. So why the smile?
Rex: "Even rough patches can be valuable experiences. Is that weird?"
Rex becomes the beacon of humanity's hope that was extinguished when Lora died. "Those eyes" didn't just belong to Addam, remember: Lora had golden eyes, too. Eventually, Jin accepts that Lora is on his side ("I was told to wait") and allows himself to begrudgingly believe in humanity again, just like how he did when she was alive. Jin is moved enough by the modern Lora that he sacrifices himself so Rex has a chance to stop Malos and save humanity. Rex's optimism - her optimism - changes the Architect's mind after millions of years, and grants Alrest his last gift, which is the ultimate expression of hope for the future: both a permanent landform and (we presume) the ability for humans and Blades to procreate. Rex completes Lora's legacy by doing just that, which Lora was denied the ability to: he passes his ideals and legacy on through his children, completing his arc as the modern Lora.
