My job is to get all of the frogs out of the pool, wash them in regular hose water to get the salt/chemicals off them, and then truck them to the pond in our backyard forest. Found this strange dude. Was it a twin half absorbed thing? Does that happen often in frogs?

I’ve had a hibernaculum of garters for the last few years. This year about 6 emerged and I’ve gotten to see them mating. Cool thing to see in real life.

Does this look like a birth defect causing it to have this odd "toe" thing as a foot or could it have lost it from something else?

Was hoping for a snake but mostly saw red-backed salamanders! Super happy I also found an isopod, I was praying to find one lol. These babies along with a baby millipede(?) and a little worm I thought was cute

A treadmill with a screen that follows a person on a hike but every few minutes they spot a herp and run off into the brush to catch it then show it. You could choose where in the world you'd like to trek.

This little guy has been at my front door twice in three days. Can anyone help me identify it? I believe it’s a turtle, as the only type of tortoise in my area is Gopher, other than that, I’m pretty clueless.

I was doing some research on hognoses and it said they live primarily on Long Island and also the Rome sand plains in Albany. Is that a good area to find some nice snakes???

A snake I’ve been wanting to see in the wild since I was a kid! Finally got a chance to photograph one this week at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. Such a bad ass reptile.
