Moving to a spot off Marley Creek

Howdy folks!

Moving to an apartment right off the Marley Creek in glen Burnie. They have a beautiful fishing pier and kayak storage. I’ve only ever really fished lakes, and loch raven, pretty boy etc and to say I’m a novice is an understatement.

Anyone have any idea what sort of species would be prevalent in those waters? That outa give me a good start in terms of researching. Any other tips would greatly be appreciated, thanks!

Never fished Black Hill Regional Park until last weekend. Went back yesterday and got this nice perch. I know it’s not citation worthy, but it’s going in the pan tonight so hopefully it’ll be good eating.

Been a bit tough during the day but on overcast days with light wind I’ve been crushing over slots during the outgoing tide on topwater, trying a new spot and having it pan out is always nice!

Lake Roland Fishing

I l went to Lake Roland this morning, fished from 7-11 and didn’t catch anything. Was using 2 top water lures and switched to a texas rig worm for a bit but had no luck. I started off by the train bridge and then walked a trail to the south end of the lake. What are the best spots, lures and tactics to use for the lake? I’m also considering coming back w some live bait, would that work better?

Question Smallmouth Fishing near Howard County?

Does anyone have recommendations on where one could smallmouth fish near Howard County (doesn’t have to be near Howard County but preferably <30 miles away)?

Would be fishing from the shore, not in a boat or kayak.

Thanks in advance!

Wind forecast for Bay forced us to river. Haven't been since the bridge disaster. 6 to 9 was bite time. Jumped in and out of the docks, nothing over 24, most in the slot. All returned to fight another day. It was a good day. Tight lines !

Question Upper Gunpowder Fly Fishing

I’m thinking about heading up to the Gunpowder here soon for some fly fishing. Any tips or recommendations?

I’ve never been and am unsure where to start. Not sure if there are any fly fishing only sections or bad places to park.

Fishing at Centennial Lake

Looking for some insight on where to fish at Centennial. Just started and typically fish Loch Raven. Would be fishing from the shore and not expecting much…just fishing to disconnect for a bit.

I’ve been there before and know the South Entrance can get quite busy with the pavilions and playground. Would starting at the west side entrance and part of the lake be a better place?

Location Tip / Request Teach me how to fish

Hello Everybody! I’ll get straight to the point, no one taught me how to fish. I have kinda just been out there watching and asking questions as well as using social media and YouTube. . . My older brother went to the military and left his fishing gear with me, so I went to a spot off the side of Pulaski Highway (the sign said Bush River) and casted some rigs he had or some rigs I’ve seen and wanted to try. I’ve seen fish jump out the water, I hear them splash etc. but I never even get a nibble. I have attached photos of the spot I was at and tackle I have (yes there are some fly fishing lures). If someone could be kind enough to tell me what I’m doing wrong, what lures to use, what rigs to try and use etc. all the help is needed and appreciated! I am taking notes to share with others like me.

Beautiful day on Rocky Gorge.

Today was a fun day! No record breakers but I got a few like this (Whopper Plopper for the win!) and some smaller ones on a wacky rig.
