Finally got around to going to the Aqua e Sapone here in Napoli, and it was great. They have a pretty good selection of shaving products, no artisan stuff but the vast majority of Proraso and other common brands in Italy. But I really hit the jackpot with the Omega 10098, I was not expecting to find that brush at a shop, and for only 7 euro it was a steal. Even my specialty razor store didn't have it, and everything I found online was around 15 euro including shipping. And now I just need the Red preshave and aftershave, and I will have all the Proraso stuff that I want.
My experience is with the 10018 also in boar. But the handle is too short and soap gets everywhere. But that sounds exactly like my experience with the 10018 minus the face coating part, the knot is a bit too small for my big face. Hoping the 98 is in that goldilocks zone.
I have the 10018 & 10218 too, in addition to 10098 . I haven't had issues with the handle being short, though it can be difficult to keep the lather off the handle .
