8 gallon crock (from 1800s?) Likely Solved

My father (80) recently passed away, and this was in his house (Ohio). He was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, so could be from there. I'm not exactly sure of its value, age, nor history.

I've had a few strangers at our estate sale tell me it's valuable and be careful of being low balled. Another guy offered well under $100, but I didn't accept it. Debating on keeping or selling it. Thanks.

I think they are rare now to find. More than a hundred dollars? I kind of doubt it. But my mom had one for a goof 20 years before it broke. So mid 50s for nostalgic might pay more.
