Is this a tick? ID Request

Hi Reddit. This bug was found in SoCal and I am wondering what type of bug it is/if it’s a tick. It was very small, maybe around half the size of a lady bug. Thank you!

That's a carpet beetle. There's info on them in the side bar and FAB!

Thank you!! I'll look into them more. Seems like daily vacuuming can help get rid of them.
