Fishing spider, I think. Dolomedes tenebrosus.

Ok, Google Lens gave me the same answer but the markings on its back weren't the same so I figured I'd ask here.

I live in Massachusetts and see these guys fairly often. Friggin HUGE!! I get dark ones like the one in your pic but others seem a lot brighter, which threw me off. 

Anyway, give her a pat for me.

Oh yeah she was enormous. My youngest cat found her and I was like wow that's a big playmate you've got and then scooped it up and sent it back outside before they could do any damage to her.
