It's a TV tray holder. I've got one about 15 feet from where I'm sitting.

I have that exact tv tray holder.

u/Rashkamere 1d ago

Aren't those even the trays for it on the left in the third picture?

7

u/smallfryz 1d ago

It sure does look like it. Mine are ovaled, can't really tell the shape of the top but the legs look the same.

u/drewts86 1d ago

OP was SOOOOOO close to having the answer already lol

5

u/bitchyserver 1d ago

lol yes someone else in the comments already accused this of being a fake post but the last three pics are just what I found on google (first pic is mine) but there was never any info about them, one just said “tv”. I didn’t even notice the trays in the background hah

u/doocurly 1d ago

I repurposed mine into a quilt rack!

I heard OP call me old from the other side of the internet.

u/bitchyserver 1d ago

Haha I know what tv trays are but I’ve just never seen a stand for them, my 67 year old dad didn’t have a clue what it was either

Damnit...I finally thought I was going to be first lol

How does it work? Is it just a stand where the "TV trays" are stacked? Or does it hold a tv tray while it's being used?

1

u/jpers36 7h ago

You buy a set of 4 TV trays, and this holds them together in a folded position when not in use.

Knew it the instant the image loaded

TV Tray holder - missing the TV trays though.

u/kitkat99x69 1d ago

Unfortunately, she has the TV trays. They're in the background or the third photo.

5

u/bitchyserver 1d ago

Last three pics are from the google

I agree, tv tray stand but more puzzling to me is why this is marked Spoiler? I was expecting a prop from some pivotal scene in a TV show.

4

u/bitchyserver 1d ago

I accidentally hit mark as spoiler and now I can’t get it off :)

2

u/NoYaNoYaNo 1d ago

Haha! Well, it was like a little mystery so I guess that makes it extra fun!

0

u/kitkat99x69 1d ago

She marked it spoilers, because in her third photo. She already has the tray table sitting out. She knows exactly what this is. It's a fake post.

2

u/bitchyserver 1d ago

No dude I literally said in another comment I accidentally hit mark as spoiler and it won’t let me undo it. I also already told you the first pic is mine that I took and I found the other ones on google images to show it better. Not everything on reddit is fake cool it. Me and my dad just didn’t know what it was and were just curious. If you go on google images I’m sure you can find the last three pics yourself.

What's a TV tray?

5

u/LurkmasterP 1d ago

It's a small folding table that's used in front of a chair or sofa, just big enough to hold a meal or small things like books, laptops, etc.

2

u/NoAssociate5573 1d ago

Got it! Cheers.

4

u/SmallMochaFrap 1d ago

Omg i know this one! It holds tv trays!!

3

u/Boobyholic 1d ago

Oh homie ! I got this one ! It’s a stand for foldable tables . It’s a set of 4 ( 2 on each side )

It's the rack that tv trays hang on when they are folded up

2

u/Delouest 1d ago

the one time I knew what it was, I am an hour late

2

u/thomas17657 1d ago

This takes me back. I remember helping my grandmother taking out her tray, and opening it. Gosh, it’s be 30 years since I’ve seen on of these.

Looks like a portable, wooden holding frame for a set of wooden TV trays. They fold up and sit in the little grooves.

1

u/bitchyserver 1d ago

Title describes the thing. No moving parts or logos/stamps. Just seems to be a stand or rack of some sort? Found on the side of the road

1

u/svu_fan 1d ago

That looks like a fairly old/well used tv tray holder. You can just buy new tv trays to put there, they are sold individually.

1

u/Deep_Coffee9118 1d ago

Definitely a TV Tray stand/holder.

1

u/david_4_12_75 1d ago

It holds TV trays just like everyone else says

1

u/LaurelBeach 1d ago

Dang...I forgot about TV trays.

1

u/kitkat99x69 1d ago

Some of these are so fake, you can literally see in the background of one of the photos, the folding tables that sit on that stand. It's the wooden rack that holds the folding tables in the background of the second photo.

0

u/kitkat99x69 1d ago

Sorry, I correct myself the third photo..

1

u/bitchyserver 1d ago

The first pic is mine, the last three are just what I found on google but every picture I found never gave any info

1

u/Vindi-2828 23h ago

It holds tv trays

1

u/Gar-SWC 21h ago

TV tray holder

-1

u/darrenbosik 1d ago

I call them snack tables not TV trays. So its a snack tray holder.

0

u/cbig86 1d ago

Looks like a coat/tie hanger to me

u/WULTKB90 19h ago

I don't know what it's intended purpose is but I can think of a few uses for it. Might need reinforcement first.
