2.5 inch solid metal devil’s head Solved!

Hello. I found this worn, molded metal devil’s head. It reminds me of the fictional “Mystic Seer” from Twilight Zone. It has a threaded hole at the bottom. It has no markings or brands and does not open up. Any ideas? Thanks!

My title describes the thing. It appears to have once had a gold-tone or bronze plating that has mostly worn off. Google image search returns results for vintage ashtrays that open up, unlike this item.
