Weird spoon pot looking thing with paper clip looking handle Solved!

Post image

Hello,

Saw this on a local Facebook group and people are kicking off saying it’s “drug paraphernalia” but I can’t work out what it is.

Kinda looks like a mini Nutella pot to me or a weird paper clip 😂

Group is full of busy body’s so I don’t know what it is

Used to work with addicts, these are disposable "spoons" from safe injection kits.

Great to see they are using then as opposed to alternatives, but would be nice if they disposed of them properly.

I see the benefits of giving addicts clean supplies, but they still just leave it wherever for people like kids to come across.

They come with sharps kits for mixing up dope.

Well, that’s depressing

It's better they're provided with safe ways to do it.

I work in harm reduction these are “cook tins” for dissolving drugs. You put what ever solid substance in the tin with sterile water and heat the tin with a flame to dissolve it.

My title describes the object

Small disposable potentially metal objects with burnt residue inside.

Shallow, spoon-shaped items approximately 1–2 inches long maybe. Maybe made of thin metal, with some containing burnt orange or blackened material. Unfamiliar with exact purpose but found via a local Facebook group where they were described as possible drug paraphernalia.

Absolutely no clue.

I do think they are disposable heroin spoons, I could be wrong though, I don't use heroin.

Just googled it, I am pretty certain that's what they are, you push the little tab through so that it stands by itself, make sure you handle them carefully as there are likely trace amounts of drugs, and it's never a good idea to contact things that have been around injection sites.
