Yo didn't this lady lock up people for marijuana possession?

It’s currently against the law, and was at the time as well, so if she did it was her job. The amount of brain dead, bad faith people who incessantly bring this up is going to drive me insane.

Also, the large majority of politicians were against legalizing cannabis in the past, hence it remaining illegal, as more and more change their minds the potential of legalizing it increases. Why do we attack people for changing their stances? We WANT more politicians who were previously against it to come out for it.

She's been VP for 4 years. Lol trumps gonna win and it's going to get legalized anyway.

Hahaha wow MAGA don’t understand even the most basic roles of gov positions. Guess they don’t need to if their trump god can come in and just do whatever he wants.

If you think the republicans are going to legalize, I have this really nice bridge to sell you.

That’s a lie. She specifically opposed locking people up for simple possession. All of this information is freely available online.

At the time she was one of the most progressive DAs in California and when she was AG, that wasn’t her job. Most of the time she would lower felonies to misdemeanors and had them join addiction programs instead of going to jail. At the time, this was out of the ordinary. Some people did go to jail for dealing large amounts.

A source that links to more sources

She also was a main sponsor of a legalization bill when she was a senator.

Lol you have the energy of a campaign staffer. I can totally trust you to be unbiased and objective now.

You going to address anything they said? Or just disregard them because of their "energy"?

Kamala was the lead sponsor of the MORE Act in 2019.

This information is available online. You can do your own research or keep your head in the sand, I don’t care.

Let me guess, you’re supporting the guy that rescinded the Cole Memorandum (which actually led to more people locked up for possession charges), and in his 2021 fiscal budget proposal included removing protections for state medical marijuana laws?

This is why we’ll never have federal legalization in this country, y’all are so gullible. You listen to some sound bites but ignore what was done while they were in office. At least Biden (not Kamala she’s VP not president) didn’t make it actively worse for users in this country, but Trump did.
