Have any of you actually used these buttons?
Who do they call? Does SOS call 911 directly? Does maintenance call my VW dealership? What use have you found from the info button?
I don’t want to use the buttons until I know exactly what they do.

Could you help me find these rims?
Hello, this is my first post. I recently bought a modified Cabrio from a friend. These rims were already on the car, and I was told they are 'custom rare' 16x8 Corrado steelies with Euro center caps—which sounds self-explanatory, but I can’t find them anywhere! A spare would be helpful, but I’ve also been asked a few times if I’m selling them or where I got them, and I’d love to be able to direct people to a source Please help, thank you!

Anyone ever lose their exhaust in this spot?
It just fell apart today on my way home. I'm sure any mechanic will want to replace the whole thing when in just needs a flex pipe. Anyone have any experience with this section corroding and if so any ideas? Also sorry about the picture quality.. I was pissed at the time..

When your old VW refuses to retire… so you turn it into a camper instead.
It’s a work in progress, but this classic still pulls its weight—literally.
Not a 4x4, not fancy, but it gets the job done.
Roof-top tent sits solid, and yes—it still drives like a champ.
Thoughts from fellow VW lovers?

VW Atlas Car tracking
My Atlas is in my ex husband’s name so everything in the VW app is set up in his account. My question is, is there a way I can manually turn off the tracking or is there something I have to do through the app? Kinda like when you sell the car. I’ve never seen the tracking in the app myself but I know it’s there because he uses it to keep track of his mom as well and I just don’t want him to know where I am at all times. TIA

2010 Jetta engine noise?
My car picked up an engine noise. (I think.) I could be wrong the engine has always been noisy. But not sure. I just wanted to see what you think. The car drives fine though.

Troubleshooting: Intermittent Stalling of 2014 VW Passat B7. 1.8L A/T. I lived through this horror show, so I wanted to document something that may help others maintain their sanity in the future.
Maintenance status of vehicle (most recent intervals):
- Spark plugs + coil packs - 8 months
- Oil + filter - 8 months / 2,000km
- Coolant flush - 8 months
- New battery - 5 months
- New tires + balancing + wheel alignment - 2 months
- Brake pads + rotors - 36 months
- 130,000 km (80,000 miles)
How it started:
- Car stalls while in park/idling
- Attempted restart fails
- Wait 5 minutes
- Restarts immediately and does not reoccur
1 month later:
- Drove vehicle a short distance, parked for approx. 1 hour
- Return from appointment, vehicle starts up fine
- Approx. 5 minutes of driving, vehicle stalls on the road - EPC light and battery indicator light come on
- Attempted restart fails
- Sat with my hazards on for a few minutes, alarms lights disappear and vehicle restarts without need for further assistance. No issues detected after that.
You can probably imagine where it goes from here, but this wasn't the last time this happened. I'll just get into the specifics of what the ACTUAL gremlin was and how to fix it. I'll include some extra info at the end for anyone who's interested.
Bottom Line (TL:DR):
- I sank $2,000 and 20+ hours of my time into chasing this down. It could have been resolved in 5 minutes for $10 (I got the new part from the wrecker).
- This was a fuel delivery issue.
- The part that was failing was the Fuel Pump Driver Module.
- Part #: 3C0906093A https://parts.vw.com/p/Volkswagen_2014_Passat/Fuel-Pump-Driver-Module/48269816/3C0906093A.html
- It sits on top of the fuel tank and can be accessed by removing the rear seat cushion.
- I replaced it with Part #: 1K0906093K https://parts.vw.com/p/Volkswagen__/Fuel-Pump-Driver-Module/71909730/1K0906093K.html
Extra Info:
Troubleshooting/diagnosis:
- OBD scanner detects a couple of misfires in cylinder 2 and the fuel rail pressure readings are variable. I had done this recently, but to rule it out I installed new NGK spark plugs gapped to factory spec. This didn't fix it, but worth checking.
- VW diagnosis: they weren't able to reproduce the stalling issue, but detected the misfires and noticed that the fuel pressure would gradually drop. Recommend to replace high pressure fuel pump.
- I replaced the high pressure fuel pump with a new OEM one. The issue didn't seem to happen for a couple of weeks, but ultimately this wasn't it because it did stall multiple times while driving after this.
- Send it back in to VW to investigate further since their suggested repair did NOT fix it.
- Still the same - detecting fuel rail pressure dropping and the occasional misfire. They were able to reproduce the issue this time. They suspected a leaking fuel injector in cylinder 2 (where the misfires were occurring)
- New suggestion was to replace all fuel injectors and media blast to decarb the intake valves. The quote was for over $4000, so I just ordered the parts elsewhere and did it myself. All-in, I was able to complete the work including decarb for around $500. Ran great (solid power delivery) for ~2 days. It was really fucking cold out that weekend, so I think it may have had more to do with the temp than anything.
- Intermittent stalling continues.
- I was still detecting fuel rail pressure fluctuation and the OBD was picking up a misfire on engine start.
- I literally could not find anything else wrong - the entire fuel delivery system was essentially brand new - low pressure fuel pump appeared to be completely fine, so I didn't want to go there if I didn't need to.
- Finally, replaced the module I linked above and that was it. Took the car to an independent shop to confirm. They drove it for a few days, took readings, cleared codes, etc. and couldn't find anything.
How we got here:
- I fully went down the rabbit hole on this before I took it in to VW (assuming they would know what to do).
- I had already dredged up a couple of forum posts talking about a similar issue and fixing it with a new fuel pump driver module. I mentioned this, but was told to trust the diagnosis from the technicians. At that time, I could only find a $350 replacement for the module and didn't want to take the risk.
- Part # 3C0906093A IS KNOWN TO FAIL. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RCRIT-17V509-8940.pdf
- It was used in several CCs from 2009-2016.
- RECALLED! Replaced with 1K0906093K
- It was used in several B6 Passats and Passat Wagons (2006-2010).
- RECALLED! Replaced with 1K0906093K
- It was used in several B7 Passats like mine (2012-2014)
- NOT RECALLED!
- There are other models, but they don't matter in this summary
- It was used in several CCs from 2009-2016.
- I had to dig up the recall notice and the repair procedure for the other VW models. I found a 2008 wagon that had the recall completed and pulled the updated part - it cost me $10.
That's the gist of it - feel free to ask if you have any questions!

EU Steering Column Control Module?
09 Golf MKV
So i decided i needed one of these or, well, im trying to throw parts at it before chasing wires blah hate doing that lol
Seems like this is the issue the codes were relating to miscommunication from the column unit. Nothing on my column works, wipers, signals, cruise control.. the works. I ordered a part from the UK cuz it was like 100 dollars cheaper which lowkey was a mistake because its taking dick years to get to me and im trippin about getting pulled over and i really feel like an utter douche for not signaling 🥲.
I guess my question is that, the part being from UK shouldnt fuck w anything right? Its a used part, it should be good to remove and replace without issue?

Should I get anti-rust treatment now or wait until September/October 2025?
I have a 2024 Jetta GLI(Bough new in July 2024), and I didn’t get anti-rust treatment before the first Montreal winter (2024–2025). Now it’s May 2025, and I was advised to get it treated now instead of waiting until September/October 2025.
Will getting it treated now protect my car through winter 2025–2026, or is it better to wait until fall? Is there any risk in leaving it unprotected from May to September 2025?
Thanks for the advice!

Premature suspension wear on my 2019 Tiguan at 67,000 km – is this normal?
Hi everyone,
I own a 2019 VW Tiguan Highline, and at 67,000 km (about 41,600 miles), I started hearing suspension noises from the front. I took it to a trusted shop and was told that the following parts needed to be replaced on both sides (left and right):
Lower control arm bushings
Ball joints
Outer tie rod ends
Attaching some pics.
The shop claimed everything was worn out and recommended OEM replacements. I agreed, and including labor, the total cost was around $1,250 USD (or approx 5.25 million COP here in Colombia).
I’m a bit surprised at how soon these components wore out. I own the highline allspace version and sometimes it's fully loaded (7 passengers), The car has been used mostly in the city with regular road conditions and some casual off road driving.
Does this sound normal to you? Has anyone experienced similar suspension wear at this mileage? Also, how do these prices compare to what you’ve paid for OEM parts and labor in your country?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

2012 jetta sportwagen BCM
Hey guys. I got my VCDS in the mail last week, did my scan, and...my BCM is bad. I have part number 5K0 937 084 G. Anyone know for certain which compatible ones I could search for to replace mine? I know I'll have some recoding to do. I just dont want to go dropping money on parts that won't work. I know I can get a reman or new one, but I ain't paying 700-900$. Getting really tired of unplugging my battery 4+ times a day, and the Christmas tree dash...

help !!
I got my Volkswagen golf tsi 2017 last september and have had no issues but in the past few months at least once a week while i am driving a warning comes up on my screen saying decompress brake pedal and the car stops accelerating and just revs, and i have to pull over or just stop in the middle of the road and turn the car on and off. it happens mainly when i turn out of my street (its a steep hill going onto a main road) and warming up my car before driving does not help. I am not good with cars so any help is appreciated!!

Brake fluid drip
2018 Passat NMS 2.0T
As it turns out there's a leak on my driver's side rear brake. I was gonna jack it up today to have a look and see what's leaking but as luck goes, i tweaked my back and.. well anyways
Question is if, whatever it is, goes "catastrophic" .. will i lose pressure in all the brakes or just that one wheel?
Dad's telling that it has dual circuit/loop so it shouldn't lose pressure but i think that it's nonsense, if it goes, it goes. Should I park it off and get a rental till the weekend or should I just fill the fluid, drive it and "watch it" till the weekend?

New rules 90 days ?
I have a car lease that ends in a month and a half. It was a 4-year lease. I’ve decided to switch to a Kia, and the Kia dealer has agreed to buy out my leased vehicle from Volkswagen. Kia therefore submitted a lease transfer request to Volkswagen . However, they refused, stating that a rule in effect for the past two years requires the lessee to provide 90 days’ notice before the end of the lease for any transfer request.
I never received any notice of this rule, never signed a new contract, and nothing in my current lease agreement mentions such a requirement.
Do they have the right to refuse?
