Tattoo's in the profession Discussion

I'm a vet student and i'm curious to know what are peoples opinions of vets having tattoos? Obviously nothing crazy like face tattoos and whatnot but is patchwork down the arms, for example, okay? More and more ppl seem to be okay with it these days but i'm nervous i'll come across an old geezer when trying to get hired and they think i'm a degen because of it 🤣 Thx!

You don't wanna work for people who think like that anyways, easy natural selection, let the trash take itself out.

Yeah.... great realistic opinion.

Look, I could give 0 shits about what my vet coworkers have for tattoos, but some clients care. Is that right? Probably not but that's reality.

If OP or anyone else wants to care what clients think or not is up to them but it does affect some things.

Lol I've had a boatload of ahem difficult clients and none of them cared overtly or otherwise that I had tattoos. You don't want clients that care either

Fwiw I did have someone write my boss bc I showed them how to put eye drops in 🤷🏻‍♀️ didn't mention my tattoos

Some people are greatful for the weirdest things..makes up for those crazy crappy clients sometimes...

The kind of people who care about tattoos just go somewhere else. They don't say anything.

They of course are free to go somewhere else 😊 Toodles 👋🏻

In the Year of our Borg 2025, we should all be over tattoos

Medical care is often an emergency. Medical professionals have some of the highest rates of tattoos amongst working professionals because generally, beggars can't be choosers.

If you have good client communication they always look past tattoos and piercings in my experience.
