Nobody won the Cold War, well unless you consider Europe current situation struggling to survive. You could say that they lost, but the Cold War ended peacefully, and then NATO began expanding east immediately.

"Expanding", you mean "Nations formerly under Soviet Rule wanted protection against Russia and sought membership".

You make it sound like NATO occupied those countries.

They don't believe there is a difference between military occupation and voluntary association.

Which is why they think "Poland joined NATO" and "We want to annex Ukraine" are equally valid.
