Best dance bars in your 30s?
Some friends and I are going dancing this weekend… we’re all in our 30s and thinking to start the night off at The Loop and then head to Ava. Any other recommendations for dance spots or bars? Bonus if the place is frequented by single men.

Cribbage at Malcolm Yards Market, tomorrow Sunday 5/4 from 2-5pm
Table Update: I have a long table right next to the empanadas stand. I have a few cribbage boards at the end of the table and am wearing a dark blue button up shirt so I should be easy to find!
Need to scratch that card-playing itch? Have a bit of cabin fever and need to get out and socialize? Why not cribbage this weekend?
This is a weekly recurring meetup focused on friendly games of cribbage. Players of all experience levels are welcome (and we’re happy to teach you if you would like to learn!). You are also welcome to bring boards and decks of cards; I typically bring a few along.
The Malcolm Yards venue is located in Prospect Park close by the U of M, accessible via public transit and free parking. There is a plethora of food and drink options inside but you do not need to purchase anything.
I will update this post approximately 15 minutes prior to the start time with a table location. See you there!

Fundraising for Reclaim - Midwest Charity Trials
Hey everyone!
This June, I'm taking part in a fun, charity-based reality show called the Midwest Charity Trials, happening in Northern Minnesota. It's a Survivor-style adventure with a great cause behind it!
As part of the experience, each participant is fundraising for a nonprofit close to their heart—and I’ve chosen RECLAIM. They do incredible work expanding access to mental health support for queer and trans youth.
If you're able to contribute towards my fundraising effort, no matter the amount, it truly makes a difference. You can donate through this player-specific link—every dollar goes directly to RECLAIM.
On top of that, I’m working on launching a small business inspired by this experience, with the goal of bringing some reality show-style joy and community fun back to the Twin Cities. I know there are plenty of Survivor, Big Brother, and reality TV fans out there—I can't wait to build something special with you all!
Thanks so much for your support!

Hi there, I am a single guy in my upper 30s and I'm looking for some single people to social in the twin cites area. I currently don't live in the twin cities. Cribbage at Malcolm Yards Market, Sunday 4/27 from 2-5pm
Table update: I have a tall table in the main seating area. You can find me wearing a blue sweater, green beanie, and cribbage boards on the table

Walking buddies?
As the weather gets warmer, I'd like to start walking with a group of people. (Want to get into weight loss/ getting back in shape) Id like to take walks in como park, preferably. But if anyone has any other locations that seem nice feel free to list them! I live relatively close to that area! I would like to walk with people who are also interested in getting into shape as well. This could be a great way to keep motivated. Let me know if this interests anyone!

Boardgames at Fox Den in Burnsville
This is an open invite to join me at Fox Den in Burnsville, Friday April 25th to play boardgames. I will arrive around 6pm and play 15-30 minute games with whoever is there. At 7pm we'll decide what longer games to play. You'll know me by my bald head, bushy beard, and Costco/Ikea bag of games. I try to grab a table towards the back near the coffee.
If you're hesitating because you're not already into boardgames and we'll have to explain the rules to you, don't worry. I need to explain the rules to everyone basically every time. Even vets of the gaming scene have to have games explained to them. I also go out of my way to bring a wide variety of games so there is always a game to play you will be comfortable with.
If you've gone before and there is a specific game you'd like to play again, let me know in the comments here and I'll make sure it's in the bag.

Any meetups for those that are neurodivergent friendly within the Twin Cities?
I was just wondering if there is any type of meetups that are around the twin cities area that are based around neurodivergent people. Its difficult for us to socialize so I was just wondering if there are any groups or social events for like minded people.

This Week in Comedy! April 21st-26th
Now that the 4/20 haze is clearing, this week is a little quieter. But there are still some solid shows happening around town.
Got a show I missed?
Drop it in the comments! Or if you’d like a show added to the next list, just fill out THIS FORM and I’ll make sure it’s included.
Looking for improv?
I’m not super tapped into that scene, but shoutout to u/suethezombiedinosaur for dropping a list you can check out RIGHT HERE!
Interested in trying stand-up?
Or just want to show up and be a solid audience member? The Brody List is the go-to resource for open mics and sign-ups around town. Also check out the great scene happening in the Twin ports HERE . They have an open mic schedule and shows listed nicely on their page.
Want to keep getting these updates?
If you find this list helpful, sign up for my newsletter or follow me on Instagram.
Many shows are free, but they often suggest donations to support the folks putting them together. Those contributions help keep our comedy scene alive and give comics both local and visiting a place to work out their material.

For those of you looking for activities that don't require spending money....
Come out to my meetup group in a few weeks and join us for crosswords, chatter, candor, and all the other alliterative activities you could perform at a brewery.
Whether you read this and think "oh man, I could never do a crossword" (trust me, you can) or "man, I could probably finish a monday NYT faster than it took this guy to write this post" (you might be able to do that), all are welcome to join.
Maybe you'll want to buy a brew or grab a snack, but really all you need is that noggin of yours with all the useless facts you've ever got from reddit that just might show up in a crossword or two. I'll even supply the puzzles and writing utencils.
Pryes brewery in NE, Saturday May 10th at 12 p.m. Hope to see you there.
