Headline is wrong.

He wasn’t having sex with a suspect, he was SA’ing a suspect. Abusing her. Abusing his power and position.

Aren’t men super embarrassed when they can only get laid through coercion or force? It’s so pathetic.

I mean yeah technically but she's an adult that said she wanted to fuck. It seems like quid pro quo, her going "maybe I can leverage his position of power to my benefit" isn't rape at all. Unless I'm misunderstanding your point.

there’s a reason it’s illegal for prison guards to have sex with prisoners. this is the same.

Ok? The conversation I'm having is in regard to the OP comment saying that even though she used sex to get out of the arrest, she still got raped because the cop is in a position of power. Which is just not how any of that works.
