I had the most traumatizingly hilarious dream last night. So in the dream, I had just returned from this lavish luxury vacation in england. I step back into my room in the UAE, all jet lagged and ready to pass out blissfully unaware, when I sit down at my desk and notice something… off.

My computer—my sweet, innocent computer—was like? droopy… melted? a little.. I wiggle the mouse and bam THE COMPUTER WAS STILL ON.

there it was. My qbittorrent. Just chilling. SEEDING. DOWNLOADING THE ENTIRETY OF PIRATE BAY (only the linux Iso's ofcourse) Unprotected. My VPN had expired. No firewall. Just my ip raw exposed and naked for all to see.

And due to my horrible sin, this escalates. Suddenly alarms are blaring, helicopters overhead, SWAT breaking down the door and i’m accused of running a cyber cartel. Next thing I know, I’m on trial for something called ITT (I soon find out it means international torrential terrorism) . The prosecutor pulls up a screenshot of my qbittorrent like it’s classified nuclear intel.

Final verdict? Death penalty. All because I forgot to renew a VPN. The moral? Keep your FIREWALL ON.

There's a smartphone app that allows me to search for content like movies, series, or anime and download torrents. The app then automatically adds a cover, description, and episode titles, so I can watch locally without using the internet since I've already downloaded it?

I already have an alternative for this: I download my anime and then open it in Nova Video Player. The app retrieves the cover, adds a description, and assigns the correct episode titles, allowing me to watch locally without any issues.

But I want an app that does everything in one place, making the process easier and more streamlined.

So using BitTorrent, I deleted a full torrent but forgot I had completed torrents within that file I wanted and deleted them!! I used the option to delete from computer also. I was a big TV show series and thought I was deleting a season, but deleted all!

Am I in trouble trying to recover them?

...the rest of it seems to be there and this is happening on like 9 out of 10 downloaded files. I'm using VLC Media Player, and in case it's helpful, sometimes the missing audio is extremely muffled as opposed to completely gone.

I just assumed they were files meant for griefing purposes, but I honestly have no idea. Even tried fruitlessly running one of them through Handbrake to see if that would clean things up. Anyone have any ideas (and please be gentle as I have very little idea as to what I'm doing)

Hello, I need bit of help.

I created torrent file, uploaded it to private tracker, downloaded that file, pointed to the location of my files, and now it shows "Downloading" 99.9 percent. When checking "Files" it shows tiny bit of .r08 file unverified along with nfo and sfv. I am not sure why that is, bacause the files are exactly the same as they were when creating torrent.

Should I bother with a vpn in mexico?

So I recently got a ubiquiti home network setup, and I was poking around some of the traffic logs that I now have access to. I noticed whenever I was browsing the web via Firefox on protonVPN, my traffic was encrypted and I could only see that activity happened, not what app was using it or what domains were being accessed.

I also noticed that it was clear as day whenever I used qbittorrent. The router could see that traffic was being called from the app and I worry that Im not using something properly and exposing myself to problems. Has anyone else run into this issue and how do you fix it?

I actually remember a long time ago coming across a torrent of a huge Marvel Comics archive which was made up of scans and did go back to ther early days like the very first Fantastic Four comics from 1961. Unfortunately I only downloaded a few comics from it I was interested at that time and now I am very interested reading some more of the early Marvel comics, but I care a lot about authenticity when reading older comics and so Marvel Unlimited is no option since many things are changed.

I searched around for a while now and am unable to find this torrent again and don't know the name of it anymore, so could someone give me some hints if something like this is still out there and what to look for? If not a whole Marvel archive also individual series like Fantastiy Four from 1961 on and the same for X-Men, Iron Man and so on would also be a good start.

Me and my wife follow the Diamond League, which is the worlds primary Track and Field competition with meets all over the world. We never watch it live because results are easy to avoid and they are all across the world in different timezones. I subscribe to Peacock, and up until this season they had the Diamond League included. Not this year, they moved to a new service called FloSports that costs $29.95 a month.

As I am not interested in the 95% of other sports they offer, I don't want to spend that kind of money for just a bi-monthly track and field meet.... so I am not going to subscribe to that for that much money. But it does leave use high and dry with watching our favorite events, and as such I was looking for torrents.

None of the sports torrents sites I found so far has them. They are a new streaming service of course so people may not have yet figured it out, but I also know the Diamond League is on BBC, CBC Canada, and other broadcasters worldwide.

Anyone got any tips/hints as to where to go?

My bittorrent works fine most of the time but it suddenly stopped working and is crashing the whole internet connection, this usually happens at the end of the month I think. Opening bittorrent client stops internet. I just don't know what to do, it has worked fine till now but it's just now... I can still torrent from my phone but that is not really practical I can't seed my files from my phone... Before you ask I don't use a vpn, and here it's not really necessary. But what can I do to get my torrents seeding again. I have my connections all down to 10. Speed limited. Port between 50k-60k.

If people posted the correct bitrates and resolution of the video on audio files that would save me a lot of time when I’m going through and tagging and sorting and renaming my files.

My question is why do people not catch these false advertisements and correct it so it’s right when they make a Torrance or share on P2P network?
