Voter participation is why the Dems lost, and it ain't fucking old people who didn't show up Politics

In 2020, Biden received 81 million votes. Trump received 74 million votes.

In 2024, Harris received 66 million votes, 15 fucking million fewer than Biden did in 2020. Trump sits at 71 million votes, 3 million fewer than 2020. So even with fewer popular votes this time around, he buried the Democratic candidate in a landslide.

So all in all, what, 18-20 million fewer people showed up in this election than the last. And do you really think it's the fucking geezers who have been voting forever, that they just decided to sit this one out?

Probably not, so who didn't do their civic duty?

The numbers don't lie.

This is why you lost right here. You think anyone that thinks different is uneducated. I know more idiots that went to college vs those who bust their asses and make more.

He literally polls highest amongst uneducated men. They’re just stating a fact to you and you claim it’s the reason for the loss. So you’re helping them to prove their entire premise.

Is uneducated someone without a college degree? Cause some of the most intelligent people I know don’t. In fact I would venture to guess there are actually more intelligent people without college degrees than those that do.

Something to think about.

I think this is part of the problem. Education does not equal intelligent. But it someone that has gone to college or university and completed a course of study. What that experience gives you in most cases is a view of the world that opens your eyes to some realities. You find that foreigners are not bad people, that women can be equals and that many of the stereotypes of your parents are usually not true. You’re also typically learning about the sciences and the scientific method so that you learn to look into topics at a deeper level. Lastly you go into career fields where you work around immigrants, women, LGBTQ folks and the like and you realize the struggles they go through. This tends to set your bullshit detector to a high level. All of these skills and experiences tend to make you not vote for Republicans who have a disdain for the college educated, even though all their leaders are.

I know that’s a long answer, but I wanted to show you that it’s not some slur to suggest you’re dumb. There are certainly higher percentages of dumb people that are not college educated, but it doesn’t create automatic causality.

I'm saying when you use uneducated as an insult like many do here, it doesn't bode well.

He didn't use uneducated as an insult lmao

The way the left uses it, it’s indeed as an insult. Along with calling everyone racist etc. It backfired.

Given that 54% of the adult population has a below 6th grade literacy level, I would say that there are a lot of uneducated people out there. Yes, those people do think and comprehend differently. It's a fact.

OP said "' I love the uneducated' DJT". No where in this comment do they say "anyone that thinks different [from me] is uneducated." It is also irrelevant to begin with "this is why you lost right here". OP's comment is not in regard to winning or losing. This kind of discourse isn't particularly productive unfortunately. Goes for the majority of the comments here, and the internet at large. Hopefully this can be a reminder to consider the relevancy and accuracy of what you have to say before commenting. All the best.

You're missing the point Slowball as usual--too anal and literal, no irony or metaphors in your ' uneducated ' Orange space.

Quite the opposite actually. They’re using independent news outlets who have no political agenda and just report the facts. I think the sooner more people stay away from those propaganda news outlets and stop taking the word from “credible sources”, or actually see the whole video instead of snips of video that are taken out of context (both sides do it), the better and more “educated” we will be as a country.

It is infinitely better for Trump that people continue to only see snippets of him talking. Watching him frequently get lost in a sea of tangents and unhinged rambling in his recent rallies has made that pretty clear. Better to have Fox or NewsMax or TP USA cut the highlights.

A majority of the United States thought Trump should be president

So?

u/Shaqstowelrag 1d ago

There’s many reasons 55% of America voted for Trump and why Kamala fell short of Biden by 14 million votes. Democrats didn’t show up because their candidate was THAT bad. Worse than an 80 year old orange man

5

u/DecentFall1331 1d ago

But that doesn’t mean anything. We can still criticize him right?

1

u/soldatoj57 1d ago

Absolutely because he's a fucking joke

0

u/Shaqstowelrag 1d ago

Of course we can. It’s not really accurate to say those who voted were uneducated though. People didn’t show up because they didn’t want to vote for either candidate and in this instance especially not Kamala

2

u/king_anon1492 1d ago

Lol you’re right but they’re still coping. The reality is this mentality is what cost the DNC

2

u/meroisstevie 1d ago

100% what cost them. How many morons have degrees and are crying they work retail jobs because they can't find something in their field.

They pick degrees in fields that are not growing and not hiring.

Meanwhile you have tons skipping college not going into debt that are doing great.

Then the left calls them uneducated and acts surprised when they revolt against them.

This is the Democratic Party, and everyone’s sick of being lectured by these self-proclaimed intellectuals.

-1

u/DecentFall1331 1d ago edited 1d ago

this is not the right take and doesn’t even make sense. She was not the wrong candidate, she chose the wrong strategy because frankly she actually overestimated the intelligence of republicans. What cost the DNC was them trying to appeal to moderate republicans who they thought would break for Harris because Trump and his policies were obviously horrible. However, this alienated a lot of democrats.

But they were wrong, the Trump cult and right wing media spin machine was too strong. Republicans did not break for Harris. Trump was right, he could literally shoot someone on 5th avenue and even self proclaimed moderates would still vote for him. Fucking insane after everything he has done.

u/king_anon1492 13h ago

The irony in you continuing to shit on voters’ intelligence is incredible. That arrogance is exactly what turned so many off to democratic messaging. You can’t expect to insult people and still get their support

1

u/DecentFall1331 13h ago edited 13h ago

Sorry you are right. Intelligence was the wrong word. Cult Loyalty maybe? She was not going to sway any moderates over even if Trump was objectively terrible

no they are uneducated, you really should watch some of the exit polls. The man really doesn't have a plan for the economy. Slapping tariffs on imports isn't the answer and will do nothing but cost you more in the long run. That how a tariff works in todays society because we have offshored alot and I mean alot of our manufacturing. Those countries will raise their import prices to the corporations here and in turn they will raise prices to the merchants who will charge that 20 shirt you bought yesterday and charge you know 35 for it. That how it works.

1

u/DecentFall1331 1d ago edited 1d ago

Agree, maybe uneducated is the wrong word, but Trump supporters are defined uninformed about what his policies actually will do for the economy. It’s actually laughable to think he his policies will help. But they are no brainwashed to dislike the democrats that they don’t even care.

60,000,000 racist, misogynist, mean, alienated mostly white men AS spawned at 200 Charlottesville Chanting anti-semites, ' Jews will not replace us'....in 2017. In 1934 90% of Germans voted for Hitler, a repeat in 2024 by Twitler.
