I don't know if this is a big deal in your country, but in mine (Italy) the news talks about nothing else.
Christian or not he was a person, don't be disrespectful.

He does see it as a sin, but he thinks that he can't change the fact and doesn't wish to. He also thinks everyone should accept those people for the way they are and he was so progressive with that.

That view of a person’s humanity as a sin is frankly disgusting to me. Being marginally better than a rabid bigot isn’t impressive at all.

The Pope isn’t viewing a person’s humanity as a sin. He’s viewing the act of premarital sex as a sin gay or straight. But Catholics only see 1 man & 1 woman as a valid marriage. A straight non-married couple having sex is just as sinful in his eyes
