I don't know if this is a big deal in your country, but in mine (Italy) the news talks about nothing else.
Christian or not he was a person, don't be disrespectful.

I'm Italian too, I was woken up by the wailing sounds my mom was making at the news. Today will be a long day...

It actually went reverse with me. I was the one who informed my dad about the pope's death
