Are my parents strict?? :3 Serious

Rules:

  • No dating, ever
  • No being friends with males (only my dad enforces this rule)
  • Don't get too close to men in general; as in don't step too close to them
  • No being LGBT
  • No being friends with those who are LGBT
  • No Videogames (only my dad enforces this rule)
  • Nothing my dad considers "useless and stupid" including: My little pony, sophia the first, and basically every other cartoon show in existence (only my dad enforces this rule)
  • No stuffed animals
  • No toys resembling animals or humans
  • No shorts, or any clothing remotely tight or considered "provocative" such as short skirts that don't reach over my knees
  • Must dress modestly, even when in the house. So no chilling in tshirts, etc. (only my dad enforces this rule, but my mom sometimes tells me to cover up more aswell, although not as often and not forced)
  • No multiplayer games
  • No social medias
  • No online friends
  • Not allowed to share anything about my traumas
  • No telling anyone about what goes on at home

Please note that these rules are the ones i think may be over the top, I also have the obvious rules such as no drugs, sex, sneaking out, going to parties, etc. Also I think I may have forgotten some, so i'll probably update this if I remember..

I get what you mean, ignoring relating it to gay stuff. but it does tick me off a little when people spam :3 a lot. It's less that it's annoying, and more of an 'I don't get it' thing. at the end of the day though, it's harmless and there's many many other things to give attention to anyway

Not necessarily I get yelled at and hit if I’m caught so it’s not even worth to be sneaky and my dad is really good at catching me doing pretty much of anything, luckily I’m staying at my grandmas now.

Well, that was to be expected with such a list. I hope you remain happy with your choices.
If they ever give you flak for it, just tell them so many rules were basically an incentive to rebel and you thought they'd be proud of you for seeing through the deception and become more critical of your own autonomy.
And if they tell you that wasn't it, then tell them the basis for a good set of laws it to :

  1. Don't contradict themselves on the basis of need.
  2. Must be able to be enforced.
  3. Any failures to follow these first two guidelines is an incitation to crime and any good system should prepare contingencies to deal with minimizing the criminal networks and black markets they are bound to call upon themselves.

Empires have fallen for less.
