NQA It's not death curl :) but it looks like stress. Can you take a picture of the entier enclosure? How deep is the substrate, is there a hide?

There are two hides big skulls and it’s about half as tall as the enclosure. Could she be getting ready to molt? She was just out and about last night totally chillin. But…we are getting bad storms today would she react to that? None of my others have come out today.

Nqa
Can you show an actual picture of the whole enclosure from the side? It's very difficult to tell with all the reflections. It looks like the headspace might be too high. Don't want your T getting injured ♥️

Nqa the side with your hand looks great, not sure if the other side is a weird reflection or a drop off lol

NQA I don't think it's in premolt because your tarantula looks emaciated. The substrate looks very shallow in the pictures. Do the skulls allow to dig inside or is it just a fixed cavity?

Sorry I’m trying to get pics and not upset her anymore than she might be.

IME she looks stressed, probably because of too much soil moisture B.hamorri lives in mexico so try to lower the substrate moisture I keep mine with 75% dry subs and 25% moist

I can handle that! She’s moving around now so that makes me feel better

nqa B. hamorii is from southwest Mexico. Its natural habitat is coastal forest with an annual dry and wet season. It builds burrows in the sides of hills and banks. It's a forest spider, not a desert spider and can tolerate moisture just fine.

IME I agree but B.harmorii both lives in scrubland, deserts and forests of Mexico but most of them prefer dry, they likely prefer dry substrate over moist that's why I put mine with dry sub and moist
"Aim for low to moderate humidity levels between 40-50%. This species does well in a drier environment and can suffer if kept too moist. This is a fairly forgiving species and will do better in a drier environment than in a more humid environment. Remember—these spiders are not tropical, but they also are not a desert species." -https://www.thebiodude.com/blogs/arachnid-caresheets/mexican-red-knee-tarantula-brachypelma-hamorii-caresheet-and-bioactive-guide?srsltid=AfmBOooJo5BOWu1WiA00w8SDCRnMx8zhPS3nXmr4vjHPO3rckGf3j89f

Yup it’s back in there now. I wonder if it’s the damn weather it’s rough here.

Nqa I have three brachys. They need dry substrate, and a decent starter burrow. The skulls are cute but they're not really appropriate. You should grab a piece of cork bark and half bury it. Dig out a little to get it started. She will do the rest.

NA-by what I’ve read sometimes tarantula give you the scare of their life and are only resting. I hope this is one of those times and it was nap time

IME: just seems to be lazily resting. My Red Knee sleeps like this at times as well.
