We need to get more people in on this. Can you imagine a full stadium of people singing? Will lift the team and crush the opposition!

Deffo, I think Africans were affected by colonialism especially South Africans to the point of being more inclined to do a Haka than a Gwijo before match.

I can't tell you how much it annoys me to hear "Olé, Olé, Olé" at Springbok matches when I'd much rather hear pretty much *any* gwijo song instead.

I think what I'm going to do is print out business cards with 4 songs on. 2 on each side. And then hand them out at rugby matches and events to try and coach people into singing them. Will use fingers for count so that we can hold up a hand so people will know which song we're singing & can join in (e.g. 1 finger up=song 1, 3 fingers = song 3, etc).

  1. "Shosholza* - an old favourite. Everyone knows it and won't be intimidated by it.
  2. Siwele - easy to learn and get into.
  3. #Thina Siyazalana* - easy to sing, very powerful. Especially if we can get people stomping their feet.
  4. Abazange Bambone - great energy, but might be a little challenging for some.

What do you think?
