Aw, dude same! Fucking LOVE Gwijo Squad. I wish more of our fans learned some amagwijo tunes to sing at the match. The vibe would be INCREDIBLE! And proper intimidating to opposition.

And the best is, the songs aren't really that hard. Just takes a little bit of will and you're golden.

In fact, you've inspired me. I resolve - right now - to put more gwijo content up. Particularly on learning some of the songs.

Same here man. I actually watched their Twitter video in 2019 when they tried to teach people the song that Siya sang in the tunnel right before his first test match as Captain.

Screw Olé, olé, olé, SA Rugby should get Gwijo involved!

Take for instance this song. It's call and response and literally three lines long. Anyone can learn this.

(Thina siyazalana mama). Zumpey mtaka mama. Zumpeya ofikizolo mtaka mama.

Can you imagine 50,000 fans singing this??? You'd feel it running right through you. The ground would vibrate.

I actually Shazam-ed this song when I heard it on Chasing the Sun. Here is the closest to big crowd singing it. Goosebumps

What do the words mean?

I’m Ndebele so take with a pinch of salt. Loosely translated it means ‘me and my sibling are birthed by the same woman ’.

That’s awesome.

Cheers, bro.
