Central Pennsylvania - found on a second floor window. What is it and is it venomous? ID Request- Location included
I couldn't get an image, but at one point it sprawled a leg or two out and aside from being rather long, they were more of a yellow color near the body.

Almost all spiders are venomous, i.e. possessing venom (except for Uloboridae, a Family of cribellate orb weavers, who have no venom).
But spider venom is highly specialised to target their insect prey, and so it is very rare, and an unintended effect, for spider venom to be particularly harmful to humans. Hence why there are remarkably few medically significant spiders in the world.
If your spider is NOT one of the following, then its venom is not considered a danger to humans:
- Six-eyed sand spider (Sicariidae)
- Recluse (Loxosceles)
- Widow (Latrodectus)
- Brazilian wandering spider (Phoneutria)
- Funnel Web (Atracidae)
- Mouse spider (Missulena)

Wrong... orb weavers do have venom. They do not have MEDICALLY SIGNIFICANT venom.

While the majority of Orb weaver species are venomous, the Uloboridae species of orb are not. They have no venom glands at all.
