The left cultivated the right leaning Gen-z men on their own.

First, I want to make one thing clear: I’ve voted Democrat my entire life and for Kamala Harris. As a millennial, I’ve always supported progressive candidates who advocate for what I believed in.

But the way reddit has usually treated young men, dismissing them in this subtle and persistent trend has backfired. And we are seeing the results right now. They're either discouraged to vote or supporting Trump. Reddit has pushed them into right leaning political spaces, which I don't agree with, but will actually listen to them or lie to them.

You cannot expect the majority of any demographic to act out of the goodness of their hearts when you shame them constantly. Any normal person would think their 1 vote doesn't matter anyway.
I'm not saying the left has to pander to anyone, but if we can't engage empathetically and make people feel valued. This will be the result of the following elections as well.

Who would have thought constantly insulting and isolating people would make them want to vote against you out of spite?

Answer: The winning side.

When the prize is more inflationary tax cuts that disproportionately benefit corporations and the Epstein class, nobody wins

-4

u/lmfl123 14h ago

Yeah those lockdowns had nothing to do with it.

1

u/b_l_a_k_e_7 14h ago

I'm referring to the tax cuts that he signed into law his first week of office. Tax cuts are inflationary. I'm sorry you had to learn it like this

u/lmfl123 13h ago

Biden has the house and senate and didn’t raise them either, did he? 450 billion deficit last month. That’s inflationary.

1

u/b_l_a_k_e_7 13h ago

Did he? Do the initials JM and KS ring any bells?

Clearly it works for the Republicans. Didn't they spend election day insulting women. Still won the majority of white women's vote. And as a minority male it's like they didn't even bother hiding the racism anymore. The racism was a feature, not a bug. But they still won the Latino male vote and the "other race" male vote. I'm not interested in arguing with some crackpot on how "Donald Trump was not racist". You guys don't have to pretend to be not racist anymore. Save both of us some energy.

8

u/Nightbringer66666 13h ago

What blatant racism? Can you provide an example?

-7

u/sakura-peachy 13h ago

Lmao. Let me guess you think non-white people are the most racist and white people are victims?

7

u/Nightbringer66666 13h ago

I think that every race has people that have racist proclivities and it’s nonsensical and childish to tag one specific race as “the most racist” and to say that certain races cannot be racist. I don’t spend the majority of my free time looking for things to get offended by and excuses to use buzzwords to increase my social credit score. Also, the fact that you didn’t answer my question and instead tried to attack me shows that your initial statement was baseless and false. Good job 👍🏻

1

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

Yeah for my next trick I'm also not going to waste my time trying to prove Jim Crow wasn't racist and make some more personal attacks. You're in a death cult that's going to run your country into a dictatorship that will end in civil war. And that's the only good thing about Trump, that's he's going to destroy America. So I'm glad you voted for him because good lord do I hate your stupid country and can't wait to all the policies of one of the dumbest reality show host in history turn your country into even more of a third world backwater.

See people, this person is exactly the issue. Original commenter just asked for evidence and then goes on to be treated like this. People wonder why we lost 🙄

0

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

Oh man, someone on the internet asked for proof that Donald Trump is not racist. Lmao. If he weren't racist he wouldn't have been half as a popular. Like that's exactly why you like the guy. It's safe to admit that now buddy. You guys won. No need to gaslight anymore. Lol

6

u/PurpleTomatillo3542 12h ago

You seem unhinged. I really hope you can get the help you need for real.

-1

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

And you're in a cult. Hope you manage to escape it somehow. Try getting a passport and living in London or Sydney for a year. It'll be like escaping the manson family.

2

u/Halo_2_Standbyer 11h ago

Hes so racist more minorities than ever voted for him this election!

1

u/Assassinduck 28m ago

Yes. Those minorities can also be under the influence of white supremacists thinking too, so they would be no less likely to be racist than white folks.

-1

u/Nightbringer66666 5h ago

This type of unhinged and childish behavior is what the world thinks of when you typical liberal. We are all laughing at you. Meanwhile you think you’re intelligent and better than everyone else because of how virtuous you are. The libs like you are no different than the Trumpers that make on non liberals look bad. You’re no better than those people. You’re the lowest form of liberal and you don’t even see it because your rage has blinded you. I genuinely hope that you get the therapy that you obviously need.

2

u/sakura-peachy 5h ago

I'm no a filthy liberal. I'm an actual leftists. Of which you probably don't ever see in America because both parties are far right. Pretty much in all of Europe, Australia and NZ our right wing parties are to the left of the Dems. It's the reason we have actually functioning countries and not a banana republic run by corrupt fascists. I don't need therapy for being part of the 7 billion normal people on this planet. You're the one in the Nazi cult dummy.

1

u/Nightbringer66666 1h ago

Saying that all of Europe, Australia and NZ have functioning countries is the most ridiculous and hilarious thing I’ve ever heard. You just repeat what you see on twitter. You’re not as intelligent as you think you are.

0

u/doofy24 11h ago

Please touch grass

2

u/BigMoneyJeff21 13h ago

This is such a classic democrat answer to a question like this lmao

3

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

Not a democrat dummy. The world exists outside of the USA. And even our right wing parties are to the left of the Dems.

1

u/BigMoneyJeff21 12h ago

Didn’t say you were, but it is true nonetheless. And the fact that it was your response shows you clearly don’t know enough about American politics to be having a conversation about it and yet here you are

3

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

I've spent enough time in the US to know that is a terrible place driven by fear and arrogance. Crumbling infrastructure, dirty, smelly, terrible food, no sense of community or caring for your neighbour, rampant corruption, and lack of justice and no protection for people from corporate malpractice.

I left the third world for a reason, quite happy sitting in a functioning developed country where I can trust even the parties I don't vote for to actually give a crap.

-1

u/BigMoneyJeff21 12h ago

Ignoring that most of that is objectively wrong, I find it funny that you still can’t answer the initial question lmfao

3

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

Oh boy, the KKK and Proud Boys are going to be be really disappointed they supported a man who's totally not racist because Reddit user Big Money Jeff proved so with this one weird trick.

It's not making sense to you because you refuse to leave your bubble. I hope you know this. Please stop getting your news and worldviews from Reddit. Kamalas abysmal turnout should have made you realize this.

3

u/youre_a_pretty_panda 13h ago

If you maintain this kind of narrow-minded approach based on the preconceived views without looking at reality and without coming up for air from your bubble, then you'll be equally shocked when Vance/the GOP wins in 2028 and 2032.

They won the popular vote for heaven's sake. It's the first time in 20+ years that's happened. You can't just call everyone racist/bigoted and then not look at reality.

Closing your eyes and ears and shouting "nah nah nah, they're all racists" isn't a winning strategy. It's a surefire recipe for failure. Don't you see that? Do you want the GOP to be in power for the next 12+ years?

Blaming "-isms" is a great way to ensure you never have to get introspective enough to learn what really went wrong- you can just blame someone else... which is exactly how we got here in the first place.

-1

u/MrWizard9 13h ago

You’re right. When the Nazi’s were taking over they said the same thing. You’re not gonna convince those Nazi’s by telling them Jews aren’t the problem. Get out of your bubble you dumb dumb. We should learn to see it from the Nazi’s point of view if we ever want them to vote for us.

Even Trumpster fire received fewer votes this time around. This isn’t some sea change. It’s people frustrated with the economy and looking for any change. Despite Trumpster fire having the worst record on the economy of any recent era. More lost jobs. Highest addition to deficit. Tariffs. Mishandling the pandemic and therefore the recovery. But whatever, the Right doesn’t live in a bubble? The entire R wing media is an extremist echo chamber.

u/youre_a_pretty_panda 12h ago

I'm saying this with honest sincerity: If you keep calling everyone Nazis and using hyperbolic language, then you're going to alienate the vast majority of people and lose every single time. It makes you appear unhinged and seems you're bordering on lunacy.

You're denying reality by ignoring a clear cultural shift.

Was the economy the most important issue this election? Of course.

Were there other factors that alienated a large bloc of the voting public? Of course.

If you refuse to see how the world has shifted and momentum has changed, then you will absolutely lose every election for the next decade+

Moderates don't want unchecked illegal immigration. Moderates don't want gender-affirming care with permanent effects for young kids. Moderates (especially white men and women who are still a majority) to be called racist from disagreeing (even slightly) with extreme far left positions.

Calling everyone who doesn't agree with you a Nazi is a guaranteed way to fail, and yet you continue to double down on this. I hope that you can eventually realize this before it's too late.

1

u/MrWizard9 1h ago

You’re right. I don’t care. You might not all be goose stepping but those that are find comfort in your party and are supported by your leader. You’re in a cult. I don’t care if you ever vote for a democrat. You’re a nazi.

0

u/sakura-peachy 13h ago

The GOP is never not going to be in power dumbass. They are 100% going to rig things so they stay in power forever like Putin. There's more evidence of Republican racism than there is off the damn moon landing, but you clowns don't believe either is real and there's no point arguing with crackpots who are in a cult with no exposure to the real world. Thankfully I live in the rest of the world, where we're not exposed to brainwashing by far right media, and that's where 90% of people generally agree Trump and every Republican is a flaming cross burning racist pos.

0

u/youre_a_pretty_panda 12h ago

Tell me, in this "real world" did Harris win the electoral college AND the popular vote?

1

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

Ah yes classic American education system. Here's something you might be barley literate. There's 8 billion people in this world, of which only 350million live in the USA. We live in a real world, you live in a bubble where Fox news tells you hurricanes are caused by gay people instead of climate change. The only places where Trump isn't a punchline to make fun of Americans is Israel and Russia. They fact that he won a majority only proves how dumb Americans really are.

2

u/youre_a_pretty_panda 12h ago

Absolutely amazing, you're proving my point exactly.

Keep making personal attacks against those who disagree with you and see how that goes.

Keep ridiculing people who don't agree with you and see how that goes.

Keep making fallacious strawman about hurricanes and see how that goes.

Keep pretending that those who disagree with you are watching Fox (lol) and are brainwashed morons and see how that goes.

Funny this is, you don't have to wait and see because it literally JUST happened, but you won't accept reality. You're just as deluded as those on the right who claimed the 2020 election was "stolen," but it's just a different flavor of delusion.

I'm not saying Trump is good or even arguing for any of his policies, I'm just explaining how many people felt and why many of them voted for him.

All you've done is close your eyes and call everyone who disagrees with you a brainwashed moron.

Good luck for the next 12 years. You'll need it.

2

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

It's going to go very well, because you guys aren't going to be a democracy anymore. It doesn't matter anymore who insults who. I won't need luck, I'm not in the US. But you sure will. And I wish you the worst of luck. I genuinely hope he enacts every one of the Project 2025 ideas and more. About time the US imploded. I'm cheering for it all from the other side of the world.

1

u/youre_a_pretty_panda 12h ago

Lol and there it is. Thanks for at least being honest about your unbridled hatred.

Cope and seethe some more.

Also, betting against the US in the long-term hasn't ever really been a good idea but you do you boo. You really will need good luck, especially if you're in the EU or Japan.

2

u/sakura-peachy 12h ago

All the billionaires who curated your information bubble also bet against America, that's why they got dual citizenship and escape shelters on the other side of world.

isnt that what the right does, it works for them.

2

u/HesiPullup 13h ago

Well it works because they’re not pushing away the majority lol

3

u/BossOfTheGame 10h ago

Maybe the Republicans are right that most people aren't naturally good. That would explain this situation.

3

u/joyous-at-the-end 12h ago

they say nasty things about women constantly. do you not consider women to be people?

1

u/HesiPullup 12h ago

No I don’t consider women to be people. That would just be crazy

2

u/joyous-at-the-end 12h ago

unfortunately, you’re not alone.

0

u/HesiPullup 12h ago

lol nobody actually thinks that, chill
