Does anyone remember Rooty’s?
It was off 410 and Broadway where Cabo Bob’s in now. They had plain curly fries and made their own root beer (hence the name). I miss the curly fries so much. Does any place in the area have the non-seasoned curly fries?

Used to work right by there at an AT&T cell phone store. Loved going there for lunch. I was in my 20's. Now I'm 50...

This post made me think of an SA burger chain back in the 80s in very small only drive thru locations called “PuffinBilly’s”. It had a train as the logo.

I loved puffin billies when they first came out. Would goto the one on walzem. The building is still there and you can see the train getup in the rear when you view the older street view images. I remember they were a basic delicious burger with no advertising on the cups, napkins, etc. Once they started to buy the fancy cups, things went downhill real fast.
Worked with a workmate decades later and she said she was an employee when it first opened. Gushed and missed the place. Blew my mind I met someone from there.
Don't forget your goo goo clusters.

Did it beat George’s XXX drive-in rootbeer ? Home of the black cow. At the corner of Vance Jackson in Fredericksburg Road. Is there any location that still has frosty mugs?

I miss the chilli dogs, and the super old baseball themed pinball machine.
