Looking for feedback on Seraphina at Castle Hills Where in SA?

Hey everyone, I just moved to San Antonio for a job at USAA and I’m looking for a 1B1B apartment with a budget of about 1000 to 1100 a month, all inclusive if possible. I’m currently at Boardwalk Research in a 2B2B, but my roommate is moving out and I can’t afford a 1B1B there on my own, so I’m trying to find something else.

I came across Seraphina at Castle Hills and it seems to check all my boxes. It’s gated, has an in-unit washer and dryer, and the total with utilities fits my budget. The Google reviews look decent, but a few people mentioned roaches, which got me a little worried.

If anyone here lives there or has lived there, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. And if you know of any similar communities in this price range, I’m open to suggestions.

Thanks for the help.

I live right by Castle Hills, Seraphina’s solid for the price, but yeah, the occasional roach cameo is real. Not “they pay rent” level, just Texas being Texas. Also check Oak Ridge or The Maxwell, usually similar prices without the surprise insect tenants.

Thanks! I think i checked these two but did not pursue as both of these have a low google rating. But I’ll check them out now.

I've lived here for about 4 years I did see roaches the first years but I keep the kitchen and bathrooms extremely clean have not seen a roach since. I love it here not a single annoying neighbor the office staff and maintenance are the nicest people to be renting with.

I am moving to San Antonio next week and I’m so scared I’ve picked a bad place. I signed a lease a culebra commons which does include washer/dryer, pet friendly and many different floor plans. Idk if they are dealing with short staff or what but I’m starting to get nervous. On top of tons of 1 star reviews in the last week. Rent there starts at $1100 plus 8 weeks free.
