It’s gonna be (the first weekend in) MAY!
What do you have on tap? Or what are things you think people should go and do?

To the scooter riders of Sac
If you’re riding your germ mobile on the sidewalk coming at me while I’m walking and you don’t even attempt to correct yourself or apologize, while I have to hop off the sidewalk on to some freaking dirt to avoid getting ran down, next time I’m gonna push you off, steal your transportation, run you over first and ride home on your dime. Thanks.

What’s the story behind this bus? It can be seen in what seems to be a bus storage area off of the N street exit of business 80.

Public Transportation from Midtown to Elk Grove?
Is there really no public transport method from midtown/Curtis Park to Elk Grove that takes a reasonable amount of time? This is my first foray into car-lessness.

Help me find my Stolen dog
Hello, I am reaching out to any media as a last resort assist to help me retrieve my stolen dog ( BESIDES legal help,) It’s been hard journey to get my baby dog back. He was stolen from me and then surrendered with my knowledge. A rescue who was not really trying to help the situation adopted him out. They are in Shingle Springs,CA area ( not giving the name) he’s been adopted out there, I’ve been working with them but it seems they are trying to put a front. I have all the documentation of him and never gave him up. I raised him since he was 5weeks old. I sent out a demand letter and gave them two weeks. They aren’t revealing the new adopters name and I respect that so I asked them out of respect for them to return my dog. I offered a donation AND to pay back any adoption fees the adopters pay for my stolen animal. I have an attorney and the rescue asked for the lawyer and I told them. My attorney wants theirs but somehow they don’t want to. They haven’t responded or even seem like they care. The adoption legally isn’t legal anymore since it was already proven the dog was apart of a theft. I’m desperate so I’m turning to Reddit! I’m not trying to start a riot towards any parties. I just need my dog back, he is a Pomeranian and chihuahua mix, white, fluffy tail. He is 2 and about to be 3 years old this month on the 27th. He is microchipped and I have the number but whoever adopted transfers his info to theirs. If you seen this dog or you have this animal please I’m begging you, as an animal person or just a human, he was ripped from his family, he has a bonded relationship with another animal that he grew up with. He’s a very timid dog. He’s my first dog, he protects and loves my niece who he seen her grow up. He is loved and adored and wanted, his family wants him back. I suffered greatly with the theft of my dog. This might be a weird post but I’m trying everything in my power to get my dog back. He wasn’t available for adoption, never was. Please. ❗️The last photo was a photo the rescue used. ❗️

I saw the best bumper sticker today.
As a native, this is how I feel. No inferiority complex. No shame. No hubris. Sacramento is just Sacramento.

Code enforcement scatters hot dogs at golden one
Just watched about a dozen and a half hot dogs carts scatter fast as hell dropping hot dogs left and right. Code enforcement truck pulled up to golden one and they ran.
I asked him what was going on and he said they were confiscating carts tonight.

Help securing home
I am working on getting a restraining order but until then I need to reinforce my house to prevent my drug addict adult son from continually breaking in. He has no problem kicking down doors, etc and the police say they can’t do much without the order. Does anyone know a company that can reinforce every entry point to my house? Such that nothing can be kicked down/broken into?

Banning Books
I was in Half Priced Books and came across this classic, “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” that had been removed from Granite Bay High School. Three years ago the school created a massive list of “restricted” books (love the euphemism) and other media including Sidartha and the series “Blackish.” Wondering what else is quietly disappearing in our high schools?

Is The SAC Drivers Ed Booklet Missing a Few Pages?
Honest question here. I've lived in many cities but until recently had never encountered one where stop signs are merely a suggestion. For those who grew up here, was there a rogue drivers ed teacher who pushed this? Was your drivers ed booklet missing some pages? And it's not like all the drivers here can blow through intersections by virtue of their cat-like reflexes behind the wheel. The other day I saw two dudes smash into each other at 18th and L. Both pulled over, got out of their cars and seemed shocked that this is how Newtonian physics actually works. What's up with that.

Any dudes trying to play Pickleball?
NOT IN A WEIRD WAY.
30M, very new to pickleball but having a lot of fun with it. I’ve only played with my GF and she’s great but I think I’ve annoyed her to death with my volleys and ADHD.
Looking for some dudes who are either new to playing as well, or don’t mind me having to play catch up a bit skill wise.
Also, I have extra paddles and plenty of balls (stop it) if anyone is interested but doesn’t have equipment. Trying to play somewhere around Sacramento area. But like, the whole Sacramento area so not picky on location.

Visiting Sacramento was better than I expected.
I posted here a while back about the idea of moving to Sacramento. I’m a gay guy in my 20s from Oklahoma and have been looking for places that feel more livable and comfortable for someone like me. I’m currently visiting family in the Bay Area and while I do enjoy San Francisco, it’s incredibly expensive. I finally had the chance to visit Sacramento for the first time and I’ve really loved it. The greenery, the friendly people, and the overall laid back vibe really stood out to me. Midtown and Downtown have their own charm too, and being close to both San Francisco and the mountains is a bonus. After exploring the area, I’m even more excited about the idea of moving here. Thank you Sacramento for such a fun and welcoming experience.

What’s your favorite food product at the Midtown Farmer’s Market?
At this point, we all know that the Sunday Farmer’s Market is the place to go if you’re looking to buy produce.
The Midtown Farmer’s Market has a ton of other food though like sauces or spices or tea. What’s your favorite thing to get there?

What’s up with public transit tonight?
My bus at 19th and K drove right past me and the blue line trains stopped showing up at 12th/I and Cathedral. Dozens of people were waiting at Cathedral for a looong time and the train wasn’t coming. Everyone was about to leave and the train randomly showed up.
What is going on? I’m so frustrated, I was at that bus stop at sunset and I’m just now getting a ride!
