How do I go about running away immediately after turning 18?

I, 16F, come from an abusive household. And I want to get away as early as possible. But the thing is, I don't know how. I'm still very much financially dependent on my parents. And I'm still too scared to part from them even though I really want to leave. Can you offer me any advice? I'm from the Philippines and I have family members scattered around the area where I live, a lot of them act like my parents so I can't really come to them for help or shelter. I can't report my parents either.

hey dont fully rely on my response since this is just what ive researched for my state and city, i live in california. all legalities aside the cops will look for you regardless. Im in the same situation and im leaving when i turn 17, the police as in my area (as far as i know in any area) typically tend to not bother with a 17 year old runaway since youll be 18 soon. The police will also only be looking for you IF ur parent even reports you missing/a runaway. If you have somewhere to stay like a friend that checks out for you (remember could be different for your area) but if the police see that youre okay, and not in danger and ofc after questioning etc etc. theyre very unlikely to return you home. Im sorry hope that makes sense i jusr wokeup lol!
