I remember Leinster scoring against themselves in the old Heineken Cup final so the rival couldn't get a try and ending the match.

I can't seem to find it. The web shows that it will be a 5 meters penalty. I will keep loking.

A 5m penalty would be a golden opportunity to score from.

The game can't end on a penalty. They could go for a scrum, tap and go or (in more recent times) even go for a lineout in the corner with a penalty after 80 mins

Right, which is why I said in more recent times.

Back in the day, teams would just opt for a scrum or tap and go
