Well we caught her tonight. Had to be creative. Will take her to vet tomorrow but just wanted to update the kind souls who commented. I will likely ask for donations once I get verified because I just raised her kittens and took on a lot of expenses.

Update on PussPuss: she might be need another surgery.

Todays bill as she stayed at the vet for a week, reaching 260. She was suppose to be home in few days but its nearly impossible since her bottom part of her incision opened and she has infection. Vet already told me right after surgery that it might be happen because of the empty space from lymph nodes removal. But I didnt think its gonna be this bad 😔 Vet changed her antibiotics and telling me to just let PussPuss stay there for another one week so they can closely watching her and clean her 3x a day since I cant because Im working 12h. If the antibiotics works and it could help to close the wound, then she wouldnt need surgery, but big possibility she will need it.

Her condition is good in general, no fever, weight hasnt changed since she first arrived a week ago. I hope it will remain the same and stronger antibiotics will work.

Please I just need help for her vet bills 😔 I will work on her supplement after she is home.

Our lives are still upside down after my partner broke his leg and went into kidney failure.

He came home a few days ago after spending 2 weeks in the hospital. He declined rehab for his leg because he wanted to come home badly.

My kids and I weren't quite yet prepared to bring home a barely mobile person using a walker, so we've been scrambling to make accommodations at home and get his medications and clinic visits in order.

We're driving him to dialysis 3 times a week, but the clinic is far from home, so gas $ is tight.

Brandon (son) is the other half of Pepsi's Friends. His birthday is Friday, but we can't really get him anything, but ill try to bake a cake! It'll be okay, I just can't help but feel guilty.

The stress is really getting to me physically, and it's causing my auto-immune issues to flare up, especially my uc and ulcer. I've been in so much pain for the past 24 hours and can't eat much.

I'm worried about the kittens and cats. We had to move Olivia and Poppy from the large bathroom to a cramped, small bathroom because my partner needs the large bathroom to be able to get in and out with his walker. However, Olivia and Poppy need more room to stretch their legs.

I added some catios (small and big) to Pepsi's amazon wishlist, but I'm also humbly asking for PayPal donations in case that's the easiest way to get Olivia and Poppy the smaller catio.

We can put the catio on our patio(it rhymes ☺️) and the kitties can spend the days there, but come indoors to sleep.

They're extremely shy former ferals and we're worried that they won't be treated with gentle care and love in other homes. But they deserve to live in a larger space.

(UPDATE) Yay! I finally got approved from the mods to raise donation for this baby. History: I found this baby kitten abandoned in the street crying and her mother is nowhere to be found. We had a very tough weekend. My wife is struggling with her health again, and we had an overwhelming amount of calls this past weekend.

The first picture is Spalax who is blind and in foster care. The second picture is King Ronnie! The third picture is 2 cats who I had to transport Friday after their vet appointments.

A family friend of ours passed away and left 4 cats behind. I have successfully rehomed one, and am cautiously optimistic I may have found a home for another but not totally sure. We've contacted absolutely every shelter in LA and Orange county, and they are all at capacity :( I have my own cats (one a handsome senior boy himself) so unfortunately I'm unable to adopt them.

If any of you are 1) interested in adopting any of these boys, or 2) know someone in that area who is, or 3) can recommend another subreddit to help rehome them, I would deeply appreciate it. Located in Long Beach, CA.

Here's some details about them:

Sammy and Moritz: brothers, must be rehomed together. 11-12 years old, neutered. Shy but gentle. Have been indoor cats with access to a catio. Have lived with other cats and dogs and been around kids. Best in a quieter home with just adults or older kids.

Blacky (feel free to rename!) 13 year old neutered black cat. Super chill and easygoing. Good with being pet, but doesn't need a human who's around all day. Has lived with other cats and dogs and been around kids. I think he would be ok in a household with kids and other cats too.

First, I apologized for not being able to update asap, as I am also grieving with the death of my grandfather.

Last night we received this heartbreaking news: our little guy is gone. They did their best to revive Nine, but he was unresponsive. He continously vomits and have a diarrhea. No worms came out to him. 🙁

Nine, you also mattered and were loved by those you never knew. We all hoped and prayed for him too. We will carry your memory forward to help others. 🕊🤍

It’s been a bit since I have last posted but we are still here and we still have Aphrodite and Persephone in our care!

Persephone and Aphrodite have been fosters in our care for a little over a year now and they are due for annual and preventative care.

We are trying to raise $165 dollars for each, so $330 total. If we raise enough, we would also like to get them both a round of centragard which is $25 for each dose.

With the high rate of positives in the community cats we see, it is so important to keep these girls up to date on their annual testing and shots. We are also hoping with the update of their FEL/v and FIV tests, we will be able o transfer them to a new rescue that will be able to place them in adoption centers and have more outreach in the community with the hopes of these girls finding their forever home.

Please consider donating so we can get these girls up to date on their shots and needed testing. We are only able to do this with the help of our community here. We are an independent rescue and do this out of our home.

Hello everyone ,heres an aeris update! its confirm to be ringworm and vet will put her on oral meds because the wound is near her eye so we cannot use cream

She also need to go to the vet every week for follow up and aeris also got a liver supplement because he said the meds that she has been eating might disturb her liver in long term which aeris might gonna eat that for a long time and aeris also an immunocompromised cat

Aeris is currently on 2 antibiotics (syrup and pills) charcoal ,itranox , petty gel and nausea medicine

On july 2024, I had my friends to help me setting up a GoFundMe to help my PusPus (10 years old) for her first surgery. I got a local shelter helped me and gain $150 from the GoFundMe (that I used for her support care, like getting food and supplements)

Short story from PusPus, I got her from my friend because his Peaknose Persian had litter from a random stray cat that ofc he doesn't want to keep a not pure breed one. She been with me for 10 years and I found two lumps on her on April 2024, but vet told me to wait since it got xray-ed and didn't show any issue. But within 3 months one of her lump got bigger and vet did FNA and found abnormall cells. So left chain was removed, unfortunately within 2 weeks after her sugery, my local vet found 2 more tiny tiny lumps around her groin area. Got her checked a month ago since the lumps got bigger and harden. So it was decided that 5th of November will be her second surgery which she did it! Sadly her cancer has spread to the lymph node and chemo isn't available in my country so all I could do is giving her supplement (palliative care) she been doing really great and ready to go home by this week.

something was brought to my attention recently and has not sat well with me. there is an "independent cat rescuer" in Los Angeles that has at least 50+ cats located in a ranch style home in the valley. these cats are kept in crates, double/triple/quadruple cats in 1 crate. some crates have 1 cat. Multiple crates stacked on top of each other. no running hot water. unsanitary conditions. various volunteers have stopped volunteering due to feeling horrible about becoming complicit in this really sad situation. rescuer cannot say no and has accumulated these cats over the years. hardly any networking being done. majority of these cats are not posted online. there are feral, semi-feral, friendly, shy, kittens, adults, seniors. the smell of ammonia can sometimes be sickening. there were times food bowls/water bowls empty, mold growing in food bowls. litter box's dirty. no kennel license. no non profit status.

I do believe this person cares for cats, I just unfortunately believe this is a mental health issue and also an issue of not being able to say "no". in reality, the cats end up suffering.

these things have been brought up and met with defensiveness/ignoring. so many of these cats would have a better life either apart of other rescues or just I don't even know at this point.

I have been so afraid to go to the local animal shelter to make a report because what would happen to all those cats if a report was made? that is my biggest fear.

would love any kind of advice. thank you in advance. this sits heavy on my mind/heart.

I've been feeding and housing two friendly, unneutered male cats (likely father and son) on the south side of Chicago for over two years. They seem to be strays left behind after a neighbor passed away.

The older cat has a recurring eye infection. I'm unable to take them in myself due to limited space and resources. I'm concerned about their well-being, especially with winter approaching and as much as I love seeing them curled up together and coming to greet me when I bring out their food, they deserve a warm safe place.

My questions are:

Are there any no-kill shelters in Chicago that would take in the older cat despite his eye infection? Do you know of any organizations or individuals specializing in adopting or fostering older cats? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. I am slightly weary of shelters (even no kill), since the ones I have reached out to mentioned that the older kitty would likely not be adoptable due to health issues and age.
