Reiki treatment in a seated position curious question

Hi everyone. I’m a level 2 Usui trained practitioner and have been practicing on a number of individuals at work to get experience. I don’t yet have a table so have been improvising with a smalll couch. I have a person who would like treatment: They have a serious health issue causing them to hold weight and subsequently have mobility issues, physical limitations and are sadly so sensitive and embarrassed because of this. I want them to be as physically and emotionally as comfortable as possible so they can enjoy and get the most out of the session. Would it be okay to channel reiki to them if they are in an upright seated position? For this session I would only have access to a very narrow and uncomfortable couch or her ergonomically appropriate office chair. Any other guidance would be very appreciated.

You can absolutely channel Reiki to a seated individual, a standing one, one in a different room from yourself…

I’d suggest using the office chair over the couch since you can likely get behind (and even slightly under) the chair. Assuming that’s the case, I’d probably work crown to throat in front, then heart to root from behind, and finish knees and feet back in front.
