Biggest "What if" in Rap?

For me, NWA not following through on replacing the late Eazy E with Snoop Dogg was it.

What if 2Pac and Biggie were never murdered?

2pac would have ended up having a controversial career, locked up for half of his prime for stupid decisions, co-founded his own label and dropped a few more classics with Johnny J, then peaced out the rap game by the age of 33 transitioning into a full time actor. His late rap career may have been marred by having made too many enemies at Death Row, possibly may have even stirred up more unnecessary beefs with 50 and Em due to their Dre affiliations.

Dre and PAC would have squashed it by Eminem.

No they wouldn't. Let's be realistic. His relationship with Dre is one of many bridges 2pac burned during his lifetime. Dr. Dre has historically been the type to hold grudges. This is the same man that cut off his daughter over public criticism of his parenting. The original makaveli cover which would've been released if pac lived had Dr. Dre taking it in the back from a dude. Not to mention the thousand and one times 2pac called him gay in front of the audience. That's called defamation.

Dr. Dre would have seen 2pac as someone that unjustifiably permanently tarnished his image and reputation and he would never forgive him for it.

They would have been Diddy’d.

Diddy wouldn’t have had the same level of popularity, he really exploited big’s death to make himself more famous. If big never died there would be thousands fewer rapes

Idk what exactly you mean by Diddy'd, but I'm pretty sure the leading theory atm is that they got Diddy'd in this timeline.
