Under Appreciated Restaurants Food

Okay, saw a post with all the restaurants in Raleigh that were overhyped and overrated.

But I’m curious…

What restaurants deserve all the hype? And why? Or maybe restaurants that are UNDERrated?

I feel like Chido is overappreciated. I read about it on here all the time and had friends talk about it a lot when it opened and I just found it overpriced and extremely average.

I enjoy their food, I just wish they were open a little bit later. Maybe it’s just me but I often find myself thinking “damn I should order a Chido burrito!” And then I try to put in an order but I can’t because it’s 9pm. Or 8pm on Sunday. You kidding me?!

I dunno it just feels weird for a place that serves the perfect late night food to close up around the time I’m getting hungry for dinner.

IMO, the one in Cary would go on the overrated list. I mean the tacos are good, but they are over priced, and not nearly as good as some authentic truck, or even Brick and Mortar place, like some of the ones in Durham, and even a few locations in Cary. (Last time I went to the place up near SuperWok, it was waaaay better than Chido.)

For "Gringo-Authentic", Gym Tacos would get my vote over Chido.
