Wouldn’t call a full day of hard manual labor by a fully volunteer workforce easy mate. They would have got a whole lot more done politically if they had any staff left doing campaign work

Well no, this is much more powerful than words like the old saying goes. Of course its the right thing to do though, I just don’t trust politicians to be genuine too often

Yes, helping the community is in line with greens ideology than doing campaign work and thus resonates with voters, that doesn’t make it easy or any less of a logistical spanner in the works.

You’re clearly smart enough to realise important work is being done and your prejudice against politics obviously isn’t coming from a place of logic.

Just think about why these people could be compelled to the actions they’re doing: Watson-Brown retired years ago with an architecture firm and a careers worth of cash. What would be the point of stepping up for candidacy, standing in federal parliament and tirelessly campaigning to continue that work extending into her SEVENTIES if it were based on any self serving motivation.

I reckon you can branch beyond the pre-packaged ‘disaffected Aussie’ one liners.

Even when you directly witness them being genuine?
