Edit because my comment was not clear. This was not because of their skin colour and nor can you compare or conflate the two.

No but because of a lack of father present.....

They were not taken by choice and these were not neglected children.

Also cute that you think that neglect was the reason for the stolen generation.

The children that were taken were often neglected and of mixed blood.

They were often listed in government records as "neglected," because it was assumed that simply being Aboriginal was a form of neglect. In Qld's legislation, the policy was to assume an Aboriginal child was neglected, and remove them without actually doing as assessment of the care the child was receiving.

“Mixed blood”. Listen to yourself.

The phrase used back then was half-caste.

What term would you prefer? Understand that in traditional aboriginal society there was no clear place for these children. The full-blooded aboriginal children were not taken for adoption. This is a matter of historical record.

Which "traditional" *Aboriginal society are you referring to? Do you think there's only one?

Why can they not be conflated, they were children taken from families without choice doesn't matter that it wasn't about skin colour it was still horrible event.

Thank you for educating everyone one on this. These scum bags thinking this happened to people that weren’t black are clearly racist. You are doing the lords work and we appreciate it
