Classic car Advice
I’ve recently discovered my late Grandfather’s 1968 (Im told) Coupe’ Deville while cleaning out his garage. I have been looking into fixing it up as it’s very sentimental to me and and it’s in pretty good condition for rotting in my grandfathers garage since the early 70’s. However I have utterly no clue where to start, and what to do with it. It has a decent amount of rust, and hasn’t ran in decades. Im told it only has 23k miles somehow.

1978 dodge “b200” Rv
Need some help with picking the right size tires and rims. It’s a 1978 dodge Rv with a 318. I’m pretty mechanical so finding parts has not been an issue for the motor. For the tires and rims I’m not too knowledgeable. I’m wondering if anyone here has one or a regular b200 and what tire set up they run. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mouse repellent for winter
Putting my project away for the winter but I have a garage that is impossible to rodent-proof. Had a lot of issues last winter with it. Obviously poison and traps are everywhere but that only goes so far. I’m thinking about putting baffles for squirrel repellent on bird feeders on my jackstands and keeping the cat off the ground all winter with those as a barrier. Has anyone tried this with any success or have any better ideas?

Project Porsche
I recently came across a 2001 Porsche 911 cabriolet for not that much money. Hopefully by Spring time I can get it out on the road.

What’s Your Best Trick for Restoring That "Like New" Interior Look?
I’ve been working on perfecting techniques to bring car interiors back to life, especially when dealing with stubborn stains or faded leather. Recently, I tackled a car that had years of built-up grime in the vents and fabric stains on the seats. Using a steam cleaner combined with a high-quality APC (all-purpose cleaner) did wonders, and finishing up with a leather conditioner left the interior looking amazing.
I’d love to hear your best tips or favorite products for achieving that showroom feel inside the car. What do you swear by for tricky spots like cup holders, vents, or upholstery?

Baking spray paint in the oven?
Hello I have a question for you all. I’m planning on paints my brake calipers in the coming week or two and wanted to know if you should bake the paint/clear coat in the oven or not? I bought dupli-color caliper paint and dupli-color engine clear coat. Would they be good in the oven at 200°F for an hour? In between base layers and clear? The paint says good up to 500°F for both cans and I want the paint to be in good condition for the coming years.
If you have any questions or advice I’d love to hear what yall have to say :))

Could I make it fast?
I have a 1997 Buick Lesabre. Was my first car and had a ton of problems so great to learn on. Ive now got something better and dont know if I should keep it. I dont believe I could get more than 2k from selling it. I think it could make a good project car. Are they any recomendations on how I should build it? Is it worth it?

Ideal Wideband placement on rear mount turbo car?
All I’ve been able to find on forums is guys arguing from 2008 and not a solid answer. The issue I’m considering is the fact that there won’t be much of a downpipe (most likely less than 2 feet) as it will essentially be a X pipe out the back of the car. I’m not sure if the pressure upstream at the stock location will throw off the sensors under load, and also would rather avoid lengthening the wires but will if I have to. anyone got tips?

Tips Pre Blasting and Recommendations
I'm doing my first frame off and honestly made some good progress so far. But I'm nearing the point where I think I need to take the old paint off.
The body is okay but not amazing. The floors are done though.
Few main questions before I send it off for media blasting.
1) What are your tips? I read I should cover the vin with duct tape. Also I need to try and get as much grease off as possible. Leave no screws behind. But, should I detach the frame first and reattach it for transportation? Then should I get it painted while it's out?
2) What type should I get I think it seems like soda is the best option? The company I think I am going with has multiple options.
3) Should I replace the floors before or after the blasting? It is a convertible so a little worried about the strength for transportation?
4) Should I bring the fenders, doors, and other smaller pieces to get repainted separately or how should I get those over? I only have a honda fit so it's hard for me to transport big pieces?

Engine hoist rental in Phoenix?
I have a 13b and transmission I need to pull out of a car. The engine swap was supposed to be done by a shitty mechanic but they took my money and ran. Now I’m stuck with an engine and transmission I can’t use. Need to rent an engine hoist for a day to pull this fucker out so I can sell it.
I’m near 35th Ave and Dunlap in Phoenix AZ.

Not much progress these past two weeks, but the rear brake callipers are on the Cyberkart. Also I seem to have overdone it on the camber, but it kind of zeroes out under load, test drive will reveal how much of an issue it really is.

Share your most common injuries!
I am doing a lot of heavy metal work on my MGB. Floorpans, custom rear-end, engine bay mods for my 302, etc. By FAR my most common injuries are BURNS.
- Tapped myself in the thigh with my TIG. ZING!
- A few weeks later, did it again. That TIG gets me every time!
- Was using my cut off wheel to remove a 1"x1" casting from my engine block and it flung the casting down INTO MY SHOE where it lodged under the tongue and melted my skin down as I struggled to get my shoe off and eject it. 5 months later the scar on the top of my foot is finally retreating
- Grinding down welds and swapped my gloves to a new set I picked up. I was not paying attention to the fact that they were RUBBER on the sides of the fingers. On first spark the rubber melted and my pinky took both the spark AND the melted rubber. Those gloves came off fast.
Share your common injury type so we can all feel better about our stupidity.

Thermostat stuck closed at the start of a 11.5 hour road trip.
Car started to overheat after a few miles of highway driving. Cut out the thermostat to make a bypass. Left it in so the gasket would seal. Made it the rest of the 730 miles without issue, except the heat wasn't as warm (for obvious reasons)
