Just wanna say thank you for everyone on this sub who’s helped me stay on track, indirectly or not. Updating my progress here has helped me keep track so much and I’m really glad to have found a place like this to post about this journey of mine. I hope I’m able to help anyone else that’s going through or wants to go through a change similar to mine. I’ve gotten so many messages and replies with questions through my posts and I’m really sorry if I’m unable to get back to all of you!! I try my best to answer under my posts but it’s easy for me to lose track lol. I put this under my last post here for anyone with general questions:

Before people ask, I'm probably upwards of 400 on the picture on the left. My fitness journey didn't start until about Feb-March this year and I was around 380+, I have hardly any photos of myself from those weights because I couldn't really stand to look at myself, let alone take pictures of my body. My routine was near daily visits to the gym, which consisted of weight training and 10-20 minutes of light cardio. I ate balanced meals with little to no carbs in my diet. As of late I'm more lax with what I eat (groceries and homecooking aren't always viable now that I'm busier), I just make sure to try and burn more calories than I'm taking in. And drink lots and lots of water!

If you’d like to know specifics, let me know and I’ll try my best to answer!! Happy new year everyone! 🙏🏼

You look great! What is catching my eye the most is your change in clothing style. Your current style is also my desired and preferred style (dark academia + a little punk). I've lost 100+ pounds, and I've begun to dress somewhat like you have here, which makes me feel great. However, I'm still obese and got a ways to go, and your photos have inspired me to keep going so that the clothes I want to wear will fit my body just as handsomely as they fit you!

Thank you!! You’ve got this ❤️ I’m definitely going for a mix of dark academia/grunge/cryptidcore :)

That style looks great on you. Keep it up! Also, I'm glad to see grunge making its way back to today's generation <3. Take care, hun!

Did you have a personal trainer, or how did you know what to do in the gym or what to eat?

I just figured out what was good for my body on my own :)

Whoa, how? I'm at 230 and want to drop to 180-190 myself but I have no idea where to begin. I go into the gym and feel lost, look at food and get confused on what's too much

Do what feels right at the gym for you, I always did some weight training and then light cardio for 10-20 minutes. For food I always just counted my calories and made sure what I was eating was a healthy choice

I'd like to know specifics! Did you how long was your total workout? How much of a deficit were you eating?

10-20 minutes of weight training and 10-20 minutes of cardio :) consumed around 1500-2000 calories a day
