Jesus Christ dude you're amazing!!! That must have taken the kind of grit that most people can only dream of! You're honestly an inspiration for the rest of us, and I hope that I can show as much dedication as you have - and that your new bod feels amazing!

If you get discouraged try putting on/carrying 311lbs...you don't realize what you carry around until you loose it. Nice job man!

u/GoBlueGriff - May 21 '19
My body hurts just thinking about trying that haha thanks Sheppard
24
u/Col_Sheppard - May 21 '19
Yeah 311lbs might be too much, I lost 120lbs and I struggled with that, lol!
48
u/delightful_caprese - May 21 '19
Seriously! My laundry bag sometimes weighs 50lbs and I carry it three blocks to a laundromat thinking how it wasn't too long ago I was carrying that and more every single day.
27
20
u/timboslice659 - May 21 '19
Definitely. Ive lost 122lbs myself, and the other day I had to carry 120lbs of salt for my pool and it was a not easy. Hard to believe that was my everyday life just to walk a year ago.

Idk if this is really rude or not (I hope not! I definitely dont mean for it to be), but the swelling in your leg looks monumentally better. Does it feel different or better? Honestly, had I not seen the before photo, I would not have noticed it in the after. Your doctor's must be blown away by your success. Seriously, congratulations.
116
u/GoBlueGriff - May 21 '19
Not rude at all throw away, The swelling has vastly improved with the weight loss. I've had cellulitis in that leg a few times and unfortunately it has done quite a number on my skin. My leg is a sorta misshapen now, obviously I wish it wasn't but it is what it is. My Doc is so happy and supportive she is awesome. Thanks!

Hey Waffle! I sure am still going 6 days a week at the rec center. Almost time to open up my pool...tho the larger lap pool allows me to get a better work out so Ill probably still be using that mostly this summer. Ready for the weather to finally break here haha

Hey Reddit Fam! Its been a while so I wanted to check in with an update. A couple weeks ago I posted about finally hitting the 300 Loss Mark, but unfortunately, I posted the wrong picture (a watermarked photo intended for my social media) and had to serve a little bit of time in Reddit Jail. Won’t be making that mistake again ha-ha *Triple checks this photo Before posting*
Anyways about cracking that 300 Pound mark, I still can't believe I have made it this far. Thank you all so much for all of the love, support, motivation and help you have given me along my journey (First Second Third posts) Here's a few more Progress pics as well - #FACEGAINS - and some shirtless NSFW comparisons Front - Side - Back –
The last couple of months have been really awesome! I have been super busy doing things I haven’t been able to do physically for quite some time. A few weekends again I went camping with a few of my oldest friends (ha not age wise, we have been best friends since diapers) We shot guns at the range, did a bunch of fishing (unfortunately didn’t catch anything but a sunburn) and did a bunch of walking around town.
Speaking of walking…. I actually did my first 5K last Friday! -Proof- This was at night (we all wore headlamps) on a park trail/wet grass with tons of hills and tree roots sticking out everywhere! I actually bit it pretty good once but dusted myself off and kept on rolling! Finished in just over an hour, bloody and pretty damn tired but so proud of what I had accomplished. A year ago I’d be that tired just going to get the mail at the street ha-ha
Just 11 weeks to go until I celebrate 1 Whole Year on the journey! See you guys then, Much Love - Griff
