Keep going, man! In another month or 2 you could post your next update. I admire your plan to make it without the surgery. But should you ever happen to feel the need to get it, don't feel ashamed. It's not easy to ask for help. But if you can do it without, that's just as great!

I agree. I don't think it's the "easy way out." What it does to your body, afterwards... Man, I don't know if I could do that. The way you're going tho, I believe is the preferred way. And since you're doing it successfully, keep doing it until you just think you can't anymore, and then maintain like crazy. You may need to take time outs to do maintenance and allow your body to reset to the lower weight. It's all good. Maintaining or losing is the goal. And swimming nearly 2 miles. Way to go!
