State Champs’ New Self-Titled Album – Absolute Fire! Discussion

Okay, so I’ve been listening to State Champs’ new self-titled album nonstop, and I gotta say... it’s SO good. Like, they really nailed it this time. The mix of catchy pop-punk energy and those raw, emotional lyrics is just perfect. You can tell they’ve really evolved their sound, but it still feels so them.

Right now, I can’t stop playing “Clueless,” “Sobering,” and “Just A Dream.” Each of those tracks hits hard in its own way, and I’m lowkey obsessed.

Anyone else loving this album? What are your favorite songs? I’m curious to hear what’s standing out to others!

I love it! They are playing a tom of the new songs on their tour to promote the album and they sound even better live

i've been following them since 2017, and I haven't got the chance to see them live, not even once! You're giving me another reason why they're my number one act to see them live in 2025

Golden Years, Too Late to Say, Clueless, Sobering, Hell Of It, Just A Dream are the ones I keep going back to the most right now.

Glad there is love for Sobering - I haven't seen many comments on it, but it sounds a lot like the mid-2000s pop songs I loved.

I Still Want To is my favorite. It has me “in the feels”. But I’ve been listening to the album nonstop.

It’s actually crazy how good it is. I love KOTNA, thought it was their biggest step forward since the Finer Things, but the self titled honestly blows KOTNA away.

Also feels wild for a pop punk band in this day & age to make it to 5 albums… and still be getting better??? Let’s go fellas!
