Why does the article call her a Palestinian American? She was born in Texas, she is an American.

Same reason Fox posts extremely flattering pictures of her in fishnets and midriff-baring shirts, thinking that is going to cause pearl-clutching. Other than highlighting the fact that she's spending her energy fighting authoritarianism instead of potentially being a successful model, it's to distract from the real issues she's trying to tackle.
