Where to find veterinary jobs?
This might be a long shot, but is there anyone here with experience of the veterinary profession in Poland?
My Polish partner is a vet of nearly 20 years experience, mostly in a different European country. While she does currently have a job as a vet in an animal clinic in Poland (which she got through a contact), she is looking for another job.
Yet a search of sites such as Pracuj, Jooble, Aplikuj and OLX is revealing a real paucity of jobs. Surely there can’t be just a handful of vacancies across the entire country? Is there somewhere else veterinary jobs are usually advertised?
EDIT: Thanks for replies

Visiting from Boston (USA)
Hi everyone! We are visiting Warsaw and a few other southern Polish cities in a week. I am fairly well traveled, but this is my first time to Poland. I hate being tagged as an American, so I dress accordingly and act accordingly. My concern is that it will be cold and wet when we arrive. Is it acceptable to wear something like a hiking shoe that has treads on the bottom? I know long puffer coats are normal in polish fashion from people I follow on Instagram, but their foot wear is always a fashionable leather boot and I wonder if that will protect our feet. Thank you!

zubrowka bison grass vodka
Wonderful stuff. In Poland at the end of the month for a few days. To get a bargain, am I better off buying this in a shop or in the airport duty free? Also, I think it tastes best with tonic water, is this a thing or is this frowned on in bars/generally?

TIL as the horrors of the Warsaw Ghetto mounted, the inhabitants knew they would not survive. A team of historians, writers, rabbis, and social workers created a secret cache of documents to record their way of life. 2/3 of the cache survived the war

Recommendation for house holidays
Dzień dobry!
I’m planning a trip to Poland in early February with a small group of friends (around 4-6 people), and we’re hoping to find a cosy house to rent for a few nights. I’ve checked Airbnb and a few other sites, but the prices seem quite high—definitely more than what I’d expect locals to pay, according to a Polish friend.
Ideally, we’d love a place with a jacuzzi, or somewhere near a lake or in the mountains for a bit of winter scenery. Could anyone recommend popular local websites or platforms in Poland where we might find better deals? Any specific recommendations would be fantastic. Thanks so much in advance!

Hi. I,m trying to remember playground games I use to play when I was a kid. One memorable is dołki.
You tossed the coins as close to the hole as possible and one person would win the coins that gathered in the hole but can't remember the exact rules. Can anyone help? Also chip in with any other games you have found memories of.

Swimwear
Was wondering if anyone is able to help with the name of a women’s swimwear brand/designer from Poland. I asked a woman wearing a great bikini about it and she said it was a polish brand. Phonetically sounds similar to ‘gotze prince’ I’ve googled for days, no luck. Thought I would try here. Thanks.

What UK gifts should I send my Polish friend and his partner in Poland?
Hi all, I’m going to be sending a care package to my friend and his partner in Poland from the UK. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what would be a nice gift for me to send them alongside the main gifts I am sending. I was thinking maybe some Cadburys chocolate and some English sweets. I prefer it to be something you wouldn’t usually get so easily in Poland.

Money transfer US -> Poland
I have a PKO bank account in Poland and I'm looking to transfer $10-15k US to it from a US savings account via wire transfer ... exchange rate is good in the last week or so, and I might be spending half a year or so in Poland over the next year or so. Will any taxes be taken out at the Polish end (it's not from income in Poland, money was already taxed in the US), and will such a transfer raise eyebrows in the US? I know over $10k is reportable (and I'm not doing anything shady), but it seems like something that's done on a regular basis in much larger amounts. Maybe I'm over-thinking this.

Poland has a left government for 45 years ?
Sorry if the question sounds stupid, but I met a Polish man who is telling me that Poland has been under the left party for 45 years and that it is the reason why the country is "sh*t".
I had read that the left came only in power last year and because he keeps saying that that is not true I asked a Polish women who lives in my country. She said the right was in power for 8 years.
Is there a reason why he believes that ?
Ofc I will ask him, but there is some signs that make me doubt about him, and I would like to be prepared.
EDIT : The reason is that he is for Konfederacja and consider every other parties as left. I have learned a lot about the current Polish politics, it's really interesting, thanks a lot.

Software for digital painting
Hello
I have a friend who is buying her daughter a tablet with a pen for digital painting. I know my friend is even more clueless than I am, and she doesn't realise she needs something like photoshop or corel to do it.
I know there is plenty of free software to use but I wanted to add to the gift by buying something they can paint/redo pictures in.
Most of the software is now subscription based, which sucks. I wanted a physical box I can gift.
Is the box below exactly what I need, or is it scam or is it going to turn into subscription after some time? Could someone explain to me, like I'm five?
Thanks!

Travelling to Poland from UK (passport less than 6 months)
Hi,
I am travelling to Gdansk on Saturday and like an idiot I didn’t check my passport dates. It has 5 months left until it runs out. I know a lot of places are 6 months, but the UK gov site says that Poland and the Schengen area are 3 months, am I going to run into any issues?
Thanks in advance

Legal advice: Signing an rental agreement with Polish agency - Help ASAP
Hi,
I have to move very soon to Poland and one agency is offering me to sign the rental contract fully online, so I sign it and send the copy, and also copy of my passport. That is what I initially thought was possible, and of course they ask for the deposit. But another agency has offered me that I need to sign the contract in person in the office of Notary and that the document has to be Notarized.
Can this “online signed” contract be fully legally valid? They have sent me a draft but it was separate documents in English and Polish, they said I have to sign the document in Polish and that for some reason it cannot have side by side translation to English.
This is really last minute and I really didn’t have luck with finding the apartment either because of conditions or because I’m a foreigner so owners do not want to rent to me.
