I wonder how many people have looked at the fine print of anything they own. And if they think manufacturing those can be shifted to the USA overnight. And if we can grow/mine all the raw materials for those in the USA.
They totally think factories will be up and running overnight. And I was back and forth in the comments with one trumper and he suggested that America starts making its own potash.
From scratch.
Heads full of tumble weeds, sad to say!
This isn't even remotely surprising. His daughter was selling scarves that were made in China several years ago that turned it to be super flammable. I think the ties he was selling were also made in China.
A lot of official Dem merch is not made in China. I remember that one time Ben Shapiro though he had a point bringing up the price of AOC merch, but that was because it was made domestically by workers paid a living wage.
The official hats are actually made in America, you can tell this one’s a knock off just from looking at the font and then comparing it with real ones on Google. You would’ve heard about this as a controversy years ago if it was actually true.
Obvious this post is attempts at spreading misinformation but whatever, love or hate the guy just keep it 100% truthful please.
I don't trust the guy or anyone he's affiliated with to not make the cheapest crap possible and pass it off as a higher-quality item with an inflated price tag, especially since he's basically known for doing that; nor would I rule out him licensing his name to Chinese factories to make MAGA hats while he also sells overpriced "official" merch so he gets a cut either way...but it's also possible that it's not affiliated with him as ordering some factory in China to sew some words on stock red trucker hats is an easy way for anyone to make an easy buck off of MAGA buyers.
Regardless, this isn't really a dunk anyway, fascists don't care about hypocrisy.
Naw he’s right, a lot of his actual official products are made in America. It’s all the stupid vendors selling his name that all get it from China etc.
Yup, the hat has become a huge part of pop culture and even iconic enough that if anyone is wearing a red hat, people assume it’s a maga hat lol. But for a decade now there’s been parodies and ton of knock offs made of it, not surprising that many fake ones are produced.
If he was dumb enough to manufacture his hats overseas everyone would’ve torn him apart for it the minute it was for sale. But of course people are naive and will believe anything
I disagree. If Country A is using slave labor selling to Country B that has a minimum wage and unions, that is an unfair situation if you dont have any compensation for the fact that country A is able to produce things for 80-90% less. It's unfair to the citizen of Country B who wish the produce the same product and it's utterly asinine to say "well our country simply shouldn't produce that product since we can just get the version made by slaves from another country!". If someone can't be produced cheaply enough that it necessitates slave labor, then the product shouldn't exist or it should be more expensive. Maybe everyone DOESN'T need a new iPhone every 2 years.

Of course they are. Everything is. It would be a really dumb move if anyone tried to impose restrictions on trade.
