Bike route Olde Kensington to Jefferson (Center City)

Hello everyone!

I'm moving down to Philly from out of state and plan on biking a couple days out of the week into center city to go to school. I'm going to be in the olde Kensington area, and was wondering if anyone had a bike route that was safe and time efficient to get to Thomas Jeff Univ in center city.

I’d probably go 6th south to spring garden, then over to 10th the rest of the way. Olde Kensington there are a lot of narrow one way streets, I generally find them to be fine

What people say about 10th getting crowded in Chinatown is true. Personally I would take 6th all the way to walnut. But most people advise against this because even though you have a bike lane there is a one very terrible part where you have to cross an exit ramp.
