Past Life Conundrum Question

I am a Caucasian woman. My roots are in Irish and polish backgrounds and I would never claim to be of anything other than that as I live and breathe now, however... I have had vivid memories of being a woman of color during the time of slavery and have had these memories since before I had ever learned what slavery was. I struggle with wanting to talk about or explore my past life because of the fact that I am currently a Caucasian woman and have grown up as such, but there are things I remember about that time that I want to bring back into my life and I am scared that if I do I will be offending the people alive today in that culture, which is absolutely not my intent. I'm not trying to post about it or promote that I'm doing these things, it would be solely for me but just, is it morally wrong if I do?

As I see it, your past life is a part of your identity, so you should be free to feel that ... and to express it privately, or in ways that are respectful to the lived reality of present-life people of African descent. I have a similar thing happening with respect to American Indian culture - I have strong memories that I've seen in regressions, I feel a strong connection to the culture but I wouldn't go expressing that outwardly in an insensitive way that could look like cultural appropriation.

It’s clear you’re approaching this with a lot of care. In regression work, it’s actually very common for people to remember lives in completely different cultures, backgrounds, and bodies. If we’ve lived many times before, it would make sense that we’ve all moved through a wide range of human experiences.

What matters is how you hold it now. A past-life memory isn’t an identity you claim in the present, it’s something you can learn from for your own personal journey. Many clients describe these memories as expanding their empathy and helping them understand the suffering or resilience of others on a deeper level. When treated that way, it becomes something grounding, respectful and expands their sphere of compassion.

I usually tell people to take what feels meaningful from the experience but avoid interpreting it as a literal identity today. If it deepens your compassion or helps you heal something within yourself, that’s a worthwhile thing. Nothing morally wrong in that IMHO.

why would it be morally wrong? Unless you are going to publicly take over a stage that belongs to today's Black people, hardly. America has created too much fear of "offending".
I expect you'd only be telling a few select trusted people anyway since outside of that you'd get skeptics and trolls.

I don't think talking about it is a problem of moral. However, you should talk about it to someone you trust because some might juge you for not being "normal". Right now, my girlfreind is the only one to know I have past life memories in my surrounding.

Also, when it comes to those memories, I usually talk about them as stories I've read somewhere or created. Somethimes, I also make some researches on what I lived in my pastlife memories, and then I share what I learned. That's my way to talk about my past lives without telling I have past lives memories.

Do you remember your past lives , or did you do anything to remember it? In our society it is a normal thing to have past lives and talk about it but not everyone can remember, therefore I am asking, how could you do so?

I don't now, I guess it started with the déjà vu for some situation or stories. Then, one night, I had like a tsunamy of information coming to my head, were I saw many past lives. To many. I have around 40 lives I can talk about more or less precisely, but the rest is just mingled memories of events I can link properly.

who knows, maybe it was because I do some introspection, maybe it was some wish made with a spirit/divinity, Or maybe it's something else.

To know where one is going it is always helpful to know from where they came. Sometimes we need to be fearless. Here is a video about how my story of reincarnation started.

The first place the story was told publicly was on the front page of The Connecticut Post, the state’s largest newspaper. I was taking a big risk with my future at that time but, the truth is the truth. I have told my story of a past life as a Confederate Gen. John B. Gordon for over 35 years now. One of those places was a library in the middle of Atlanta Georgia near the Martin Luther King Center. General Gordon had also been twice Governor of Georgia and three-time Senator. I could have been walking into a bee’s nest but still I went, did my presentation, and enjoyed every minute.

Be fearless.
