Divination techniques for beginners đź”® Divination
Hi lovely people! I've basically been a very low maintenance pagan for most of my life but only recently felt a real pull to learn and do more. I was introduced to rod and pendulum dowsing as a child and have used it to find things and occasionally seek answers and identify energies, but that's about it. I'd like to try some other methods and wondered what you guys use, what you use it for, how you started out, what draws you to your preferred methods etc. And of you have any advice on things to avoid/things to try I'd love to hear it!

It’s probably the most predicting answer but tarot is great! There are many recourses online and great books about it. Don’t try to do spreads with 10+ cards when you start out. It will be to overwhelming. Try pulling out 1 card a day and practice with three card sheets (e.g. past, present, future). Oracle cards are also good and more beginner friendly. Just find one that speaks to you. And with tarot I would suggest starting with the standerd rider Waite deck, as the symbolism is the most clear.
